I. Objective
A. Content Standard
Use action word in narrating and writing about one’s experiences.
B. Performance Standard
Sequence a series of 3-5 events with the use of correct action word in narrating and
writing about one’s experiences.
C. Learning Competency
MELC: Use action words when narrating simple experiences and when giving simple 3-5
steps directions using signal words (e.g. first, second, next, etc.). MT2GA-IIId-i-1.4.

II. Content and Materials


A. Topic/Subject Matter: Use action words when narrating simple experiences and when giving
simple 3-5 steps directions using signal words.
B. Key Behavioral Indicator: Giving importance in following steps and directions.
C. Reference: Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education (MTB-MLE) Grade 2
MTB Learner Material Quarter 3, Week 3
D. Materials: ICT, Pictures, Clip Arts, Downloaded Audio

III. Procedure
A. Introduction

1. Drill: Identify the action word (verb) in each picture.


The teacher will show the pictures in the screen and let the pupils to guess.

2. Review: Identify the action word in each sentence.


The Teacher will read each sentences and let the pupils identify the action word.
1. Maupay sumayaw an bata.

3. Siring ni Edwin mangangarigo kami ha sunod nga Sabado.
4. Sumaka han hagdan an bata.
5. Maglalaba ako buwas hin aga.
3. Motivation: Observe what the child’s doing on the picture below.

The Teacher will show the picture and ask the following questions:
Can you tell me what is she doing?
Do you know how to fry an egg?
What are the steps to fry an egg?

4. Presentation of the Lesson


The Teacher will start the discussion.
