Please be reminded that it is not allowed to mislead the customer in any way.
Writing style
1
As an operator, you have to adjust your writing style to the profile that you’re sending
messages from. With every chat session, the profile could be different.
- Profession
Someone who studied for a long time to become a surgeon, for example, will have a
better knowledge of the English written language than someone who is a florist. Of
course, there are exceptions!
Unique messages
2
You have to keep in mind that you are a chameleon. The ultimate operator can chameleon
his or her way through every chat session without an outsider knowing that it’s one and the
same person who writes the messages. This means that every message needs to be unique
in every way!
- Do not use the same kind of questions and sentences for every customer.
Every conversation is unique. This means that questions need to be personal and
unique to every customer.
It is possible that you chat with a customer through several player profiles. The
customer could get suspicious when he receives the same type of questions from
three different player profiles on the website.
If an operator uses the same kind of questions in his or her messages we call this
“Copy/paste”.
If you chameleon your way through every conversation and read what the conversation is
actually about, you’ll never have to copy/paste questions or sentences.
- Follow the conversation
- React to what the customer is asking or saying
--- Ask unique questions and not just these generic questions. --- The
operator sends this three times in different conversations:
So, what are you doing right now?
Now you know what I am doing, may I know what you are doing too?
Are you going [customer hobby] today or have you got other plans?
You made me curious... What are you up to right now besides chatting with me?
3
have a typo or write a word incorrectly. But, overall, your use of the language you’re writing
in and your usage of punctuation has to be correct and understandable.
Correct language
Search up a word with Google, or any other search machine, if you have doubts about the
orthography. TIP! We advise you to install “Grammarly”. This Google Chrome application will check your
writing before you send your messages.
Correct punctuation
Surf to https://www.thepunctuationguide.com/top-ten.html if you want to check your knowledge of
punctuation marks.
The two most important punctuations:
- Punctuation marks come right after a word and NEVER AFTER A SPACE:
This is lovely , thank you .
This is lovely, thank you.
Thank you for letting me know I will see you in a bit then
Thank you for letting me know. I will see you in a bit then.
Entertainment
4
The first thing you have to remember is that our business is Entertainment. Literally, you
have to entertain our customers. You’re entertaining them with information about the profile
they are chatting with or with thoughts, fantasies, pictures, and listening to them. When you
entertain the customer you are chatting with, he is more likely to send a message back and
thus extending the conversation. This will lead to the customer spending more time and
money on our platforms -> you can write more messages and that means -> make more
money.
- Read a few of the previous messages that the customer already sent.
Is it the first message of a customer after he received a poke message? Then read
the poke message.
Not entertaining answer: I like your picture, do you like mine too?
- Log information in the logbook and read the logbook before answering the
customer’s message.
Because logging information in the logbook is such an important part of entertaining
the customer, we’ve created a separate section about this. You’ll find it below the
Entertainment section.

Some do’s and don’ts on entertaining the customer
Do’s
- Read the logbook of the player and customer. You’ll find inspiration to write
messages. For example, did the customer say he was going to a birthday party the
previous evening? Ask him how it was!
- Chat about current affairs. What’s in the news? What big (government) things are
coming up?
- Be aware of the timezone you’re writing your messages for. If you are not a
locale, check the current time before you start writing messages.
- Do not only ask the customer for information or personal-life details. Let him in
on the life of the player too and tell him things about the player’s life.
- You don’t always have to chat about sexual things. You can also chit chat with a
customer. Sometimes the customer only wants to chat about his day or what he has
been going through. You can ask him questions about this and act as a listening ear
while following his lead of the conversation in this.
- You don’t end a conversation on your end. Even though you might be the one
going to bed or log off of the system, another operator can fill the gap and continue
the conversation.
Only say goodbye to the customer when he is logging off. You could say something
like “I was thinking about that too.” But you never end the conversation yourself.
7
The logbook
It is really important to log information that the customer sends you in his messages, but also
to log the information that you send to the customer. You can use this information to
continue the conversation and entertain the customer properly.
1. Check if the information is already logged in the logbook. You can do this by
reviewing the last 10 notes on the right side of the page and by clicking on the yellow
topics that already contain information. If the information is not logged yet, then
continue with step two.
2. Log the information (using only a few words) in the white box right under the
last 10 notes and logbook(¹). Limit yourself to a few words and do not write full
sentences. Fully logged sentences can unintentionally result in contaminating the
information that is relevant.
3. Select the correct topic(²). Select the topic which suits the information the best.
4. Double-check your note and save the note using the button “Save note”.
(1) By limiting the words you use to describe the information we make sure that the
overview of information is clear. Relevant information is easily visible and answering
the customer will get more efficient.
Bad Good
Customer has a birthday party tomorrow Birthday party of a friend tomorrow night
of a friend tomorrow night
------ ------
Needs to go to the doctor for headaches. Doctor visit at 10:00, headaches
Has an appointment at 10:00.
----- -----
I was at the supermarket today and I Is making fresh lasagna for dinner
bought all ingredients to make lasagna for
dinner.
----- -----
(2) The logbook is divided into several topics, such as Important data, Profession,
Relations, Holidays et cetera. You need to make use of these topics to create a clear
overview. By logging relevant information under the designated topics correctly, your
colleague operators can retrieve the information more sufficiently when they
take over the conversation from you.
8
For the player logbook, you can follow the exact same steps as described above. You do
have to keep in mind that some information might also already be stated in the profile text of
the player.
Second example: If the profile of the player states that the player has three kids, the
customer might ask for their ages and names. When you are the one to give this
information, you are also the one to log this information into the logbook.
Don’ts
- Never log the real name of a profile. The real name of the player profile is
ALWAYS stated in the player profile.
- Never copy and paste information from your messages or from the customer’s
messages. Always write the information in your own words, using as few words as
possible to describe the information.
9
¡¡Important!!
When you are writing from an area-free profile, the customer might ask you where you live
exactly.
This is the only information that is personal to every separate conversation. Therefore,
you have to log this information in a certain specific way:
Golden rule about picking a residential area: You can pick a residential area with a
maximum of 60 miles (100 km) away from the residential area of the customer. This is
realistic, but also not too far away so the customer will keep his interest in chatting with the
profile.
All other (additional) information is to be used in EVERY conversation that the player
profile has with customers. Does the player profile have two kids with the ages 10 and
13, then in a second, (and third, and fourth, etc.) conversation, the player also has two
kids with the ages 10 and 13!!
