Analyze the advertisement below.

a. Describe what you see in the picture.


»The picture that is portrayed is showing an advertisement of the product
which is the Dove. The advertisement also portrayed the effective result of the
product to the people who used it. There are also human characters that are
shown in the advertisement.

b. What do you think is the purpose of the artist?


» The purpose of the artist in the advertisement serves as an instrument
which will help to make the viewer to really purchase the product. They are
portraying effective result if they will used the product.

c. How is the message conveyed by the text and or images?


» Through the use of the texts and images the message was conveyed or
implies very well. The texts and images given in the advertisement was very easy
to comprehend and understand. There is simplicity of texts and clear and unique
emphasis on the images which will then enable the viewer to understand the
purpose and the idea of the given advertisement.
d. Do you think the message is informative or persuasive? Explain.
» As one of the person whom has saw the advertisement I can say that
the message in the advertisement is informative. It is informative in the sense
that it gives me an insights of what could happen if a person will purchase and
used the product. It gives me a glimpse of informations that using Dove will help
your skin flourished well.

e. Who is the target audience of the message?


» As for me, the target audience of the message in the advertisement are
those person who has the black color of skin or those person who wants to have
an astonishing and flourishing skin.

f. Are there any other ways in presenting the message? Cite examples.
» Yes, there are other ways we can use to present the message. These
are through radio broadcast presentation, face to face presentation just like what
those person who are selling their herbal or supplement product, through social
media platform such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and many others.

1. What are your observations or generalizations on how texts and/or images are
presented?
» As what I observed, my generalizations and observations on the
presentation of the texts and/or images is it was presented vividly and precisely.
We can clearly understand that the clear images that is shown is portraying
human characters with differences in terms of their cultures, opinions and
attitudes. On the other hand, it can be seen in the clear texts the words of idea
and opinion of the human characters presented in the picture.

2. In what ways should media present texts/images about various cultures?


» There are many ways on how we to present various cultures in a form of
texts/images these are through TV advertisement, in a social media platform just
like Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and many others. Presenting various
cultures in form of texts/images using these platform will help citizens to properly
understand and comprehend the different cultures that each of the country has.
