P R Gangoda: Industrial Training Institute - Lesson Plan

This lesson plan introduces the Disk Operating System (DOS) and how to open the MS-DOS Command Prompt in Windows 7. DOS was the first operating system used in IBM-compatible PCs and uses a command line interface where users type commands. It discusses how DOS was available as PC-DOS from IBM and MS-DOS from Microsoft. The lesson then explains how to open the Command Prompt in Windows 7 using keyboard shortcuts or searching for it, and describes what the command prompt looks like and how it indicates the current directory. The objectives are to understand what DOS is and how to start the CMD command prompt.
