DIRECTIONS: Prepare an outline for your extemporaneous speech using the format in
preparing for a successful extemporaneous speech.
Research would show that the Online Distance Learning (ODL) has taken its toll
on the mental health of a number of teenagers worldwide. In line with this, the World
Health Organization (WHO) is holding an online extemporaneous speech contest about
Mental Health Awareness. As one of the Philippine delegates, you were asked to
deliver a three to five-minute extemporaneous speech on why mental health
awareness is important to enlighten this group of young people on the symptoms of
mental health issues affecting them, and the ways on how to empower them to be
aware, inspired, and equipped to look out for themselves and their peers during a
difficult situation.
