SCENARIO 1
A marketing strategy. -
If you were a Marketing Manager for a National Corporation and if you were given 20,000
USD for a marketing campaign; consider that would have to use all that money to promote
the product (or service) of the company you work for, please, mention at least three ways
to spend that money. (Do not forget to use auxiliaries would/could/might).

If I were a marketing manager and received 20,000 USD, I could invest it in hiring people
based on their experience and knowledge rather than their studies, since currently, thanks
to digital marketing, some companies have opted for these types of options.
I would ask them to do extensive market research on any system that supports the
creation of new strategies for the growth of the company.
Taking this into account, the results of the market study and information on the
preferences of customers and the products of the competition. I might be involved in
decisions about the choice and combination of advertising media, production schedules,
distribution method, and training of sales personnel.

SCENARIO 2
Being a congressman / congresswoman. -
If you were elected congressman / congresswoman in Mexico Republic, what would you
do to...?
a) Improve economy
b) Increase quality of Mexicans life
c) Decrease delinquency

a) I would implement a new reform to reduce the persistent high informality in Mexico,
which could avoid limiting productivity growth and the government's fiscal capacity to
provide and redistribute public benefits.
b) I might carry out a study, among all the structural reforms, for the optimization of the
institutional quality that would bring the greatest benefits in terms of growth, and
perhaps it could increase the impact of all the other political reforms.
c) I would suggest a new comprehensive tax and subsidy reform, which should seek to
broaden the base of the value-added tax, reducing exemptions and eliminating
reduced rates, while compensating low-income households with specific subsidies.

SCENARIO 3
Owner of a TV Network. -
If you were the president of a TV Network for instance (Televisa / CNN / Once TV / ESPN /
Azteca /...)
a) What would you do to increase Culture in Mexico population?
b) What programs, series, movies or TV commercials would you eliminate in order to
diminish ignorance?

a) I would promote throughout the country and at all times the social changes that make
possible diversity of thought, gender empowerment, the acceptance of young people
as fundamental factors of change, and the eradication of all kinds of discrimination by
thickening the muscle of social participation. which, in turn, promotes the creation of
solutions to the challenges we face as Mexicans.
b) I would eliminate all forms of making television characterized by exploiting morbid,
sensationalism, and scandal as levers of attraction for the audience.

SCENARIO 4
Being an HR Manager under pressure. -
If you were the Human Resources Manager at a big company (5,000 employees in
Mexico) and if you were notified that there is an imminent company downsizing, so you
have to come up with a plan for cost reduction. What strategies would you suggest to the
executives of the corporation (you may consider to include a workforce layoff)?
I would ask to carry out an audit to determine the expense generated by the company, in
such a way that each job position, its functions, or work schedules, among other aspects,
can be carefully studied. I would recommend that this audit be carried out by a human
resources consultancy with a recognized track record and experience. With complete and
adequate information, it is possible to generate a plan to improve human resource
management. In this way, the necessary measures could be applied to control and reduce
expenses associated with the company's activities.
