M5 - Pre-task

Pre-task (10 points)

1. If the company you are applying gave you a notice of an interview, what would be the
preparation you will do to pass the interview.
- First, go over your to-do list, such as practicing the questions. To appear more professional,
choose a formal outfit. Set a stable mindset for yourself. Your mental and emotional states must
be in good working order. Read about the company's history and articles. Improve your
outspokenness and impersonation Sleep early and be at the interview on early. As well as
wishing you luck and success in your interview Give it your all because each interview is a once-
in-a-lifetime opportunity. And willing to accept the outcome, good or terrible, because there will
always be another chance.
M5-Assignment 1
Answer the following questions. (15 points)
1. Why is it important that the interviewers prepare their questions ahead of time?
- As a result, they will be more prepared for the interview, more focused on the meeting, and
more confident in their responses throughout the interview. Practice makes perfect, after all.
They get a sense of how the interview will proceed. It is critical to be prepared. It will benefit
you since you will be able to handle it well if you establish this technique.
2. Why do we need to use job description in the preparation of interview questions?
- So now we know a little bit about what kind of work they do for a living or master. The
organization benefits from the experience they can get throughout the interview. And, of course,
the type of work they are capable of. It will be easier for us to prepare questions and
expectations.
3. How do we interview candidates effectively as part of a team?
- First, let them know what fundamental information they need to know and what kind of job
you'll be doing for them. Make them feel like they're the most awaited person in the company by
setting the stage for them. Don't push them too hard because they're applying for a job, not a
board exam. After that, be nice to them and wish them well.
M5-Assignment 2
Answer the following questions:
1. Differentiate the following types of interview:
a. Personal
- It is more comfortable and at ease because you are only with the person you need to interview
as well as the interviewer, making it more private and professional.
b. Sequential
- It is more likely to notice in a common hiring company that they are interviewing a person with
the rest of the candidates in a more interactive manner, and then each interviewer will make a
decision on which job seekers they need to hire.
c. Panel
- Each interviewer can ask a follow-up question to encourage the job seeker to pay attention and
improve their skills and knowledge. Unlike the sequential, where all of the questions are the
same, there are extra questions based on each panel.
d. Computerized
- In this case, they are handing out a formal form that they must fill out and not relying on verbal
communication. As a result, there is no actual interpretation because all they have to do is type in
their replies.
2. Give any 5 errors or pitfalls that can undermine an interview usefulness.
First impression- To be more appealing to the interviewer, the aura you give off should be
bright and lively. And depart with a smile on your face because the only thing they see is your
outside image, so be careful about the impression you give. They will be more likely to choose
you as the appropriate one if they notice you are properly prepared.
Misunderstanding of the job- They got something interesting rather than an actual need for the
job. As a result, it will become more confusing in the end because they did not hire the
appropriate person in the first place and were confused throughout the briefing.
Candidates-order (contrast) error and pressure to hire- It may cause confusion and
comparisons based entirely on the rating system, rather than actual capabilities.
Non verbal behavior and impressions management- The signals you send throughout the
interview may lead to misinterpretation or other issues, as well as misleading information.
Because if you aren't expressing yourself well, it can be distracting.
Effect on personal characteristics stereotyping- Not only are they picky about the job
description, but also about physical appearance and any form of discrimination.
3. How would interviewers establish report to the applicant?
- Answer inquiries by explaining what they didn't understand and offering to repeat the questions
if necessary. Then listen intently to their responses, making any motivational suggestions that
can help them relax. And inquire about more on the positive side, before concluding with a nice
remark.
M5 Assignment 3
Discuss the following qualities of an interviewer.
1. Control of anger and aggression
- Set aside your anger management concerns during the interview so that the applicants are not
intimidated by your actions.
2. Emphatic attitude
- When conducting an interview, avoid being overly emotional so that the candidate still respects
and formalizes you. This will distract your attention away from the real interview.
3. Stable personality
- The interview will go well and produce a positive outcome if you are well prepared and
mentally focused.
4. Extrovert behavior
- When conducting an interview, be as formal and professional as possible because you are
representing the organization through your actions and manner.
