Introduction
of the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 or covid-19. It was first seen in Wuhan,
Hubei Province of China last December 31, 2019 (Tuli and Gill 2020). Back in 2016
when the Dengvaxia was launched in the Philippines, Fear is the one of the reasons
why the participants are having a struggle towards vaccination as a lot of children have
died from the Dengvaxia vaccine. The participants hear news of how children suffer
from the media and their fear was get even worsened (Journal of Health Sciences,
2018). There’s a drop of vaccine confidence that vaccines are important from 93% of
strongly agreeing to 32%, drop in vaccine confidence that vaccines are safe from 82%
to 21% and a drop of vaccine confidence in effectiveness from 82% to 22%. These only
says that there are gaps or breakdown in public confidence in order to rebuild trust
(Larson et al 2018). And now with the increasing numbers of covid-19 vaccine, there are
some of the negative and reassuring attitude among individuals have already increase,
there is a Significant rate of distrust against the vaccines based on the surveys among
The influenza vaccine aims to targeted elderly to bring them direct protection but
as of now the vaccine focuses on its population. Influenza vaccine induce weaker this
means that it was short immune response in the elderly than young adults this could say
that indirect protection maybe more effective strategy as of now it is unknown if this was
the same to the other Covid – 19 vaccine (Lipsitch and dean 2020). The department of

below 60 years old, they say that they find out the report case of the rare blood cloth in
some of people used it. But in the other hand, after the DOH reviewing the information
about the rare blood cloth it say that the vaccine does mean that its suspend means that
tg vaccine is not effective they just say that they going to measure this case to ensure
the safety of all people. Based on what we know about vaccines for other diseases and
early data from clinical trials, experts believe that getting a COVID-19 vaccine also
helps keep you from getting seriously ill even if you do get COVID-19 (DOH 2021)
this study wants to know the insights of the senior high school students in taking
a covid vaccine .The objective of the researchers is to know why are the students is
undecided on taking the covid vaccine .this study also wants to know what will be their
ways to fight the virus .This studies information can give knowledge to students and can
The importance of this research is to know why students are being undecided in
getting a vaccine for covid-19. This study may help contribute to school, knowing the
students insight may help the school to get an idea on what will be their ways to help
the students. This study can also contribute to parents, knowing their child's insight may
also help the parents to get an idea on what will be their ways to help their childrens.
What this study can do is that it will help the readers to learn and get an idea on what
According to Wiley Online Library, Grounded Theory starts with concrete data
and ends in with rendering them in an explanatory theory this is become a routine
practice in qualitative research, it has a step by step process which at the start of the
research process the researcher must gathered a data from the interview the

The researcher will use a grounded theory to know about the insights of
undecided students in getting a covid-19 vaccine. The researcher follows the step by

wear a face mask and face shield and should also be that you have been vaccinated
with covid19 before going to school and if you do not have a face mask and face shield
and you are also not vaccinated in covid 19 you will not be admitted to school.
Future Researchers. This research will benefit the future researchers because they will
assess students' understanding of covid 19 and the methods for preventing its
dissemination.
Definition of Terms
For better understanding of this study, here are the definitions of terms used in the
research.
Senior High Students - Refers to the informants of the research, specifically Grade 11
Undecided - Refers to students that are haven't decided on getting vaccination for

adults ages 20 to 49 years to lessen the cases of covid-19 but it can be useful if the
vaccine prioritized to adults aged greater than 60 it is because to minimized the years of
life lost scenarios. They examined first the impact of five vaccine prioritization strategies
strategies prioritized first to children and teenagers, second to adults between ages 20 –
49 years, third to adults 20 years or older, fourth is adults 60 years or older and last is to
all individuals. In these strategies, the time that the prioritized population was been

According to Scully et al. (2020) There are evidences of sex differences in Covid-
19 severity found in China, were males are higher in terms of hospital admission and
morality than females. In South Korea, widespread of community testing occur, 60% of
those testing are females represented positive for SARS-CoV-2, they suggest that
females may receive infection, regardless of they have a lower-case fatality rate (CFR).
In the United States, people with symptomatic disease was prioritized for testing, male
and females are both similar in the diagnosis rate but mortality in males had 1.5 higher
than females.
According to Largent and Miller (2021) Covid-19 vaccination offers payment as

According to Akarsu 2020, they conducted a survey about public’s thoughts and
attitudes to the future COVID‐19 vaccine. Most of the participants stated that they will
be vaccinated and some of them stated to vaccinated their children against Covid-19 if
the vaccine is already developed. But some of them rejected the vaccine on both
themselves and for their children because of “Afraid of the side effects of vaccine”,
“don’t think it can be reliable as it will be a new vaccine” and “Covid-19 infection is a
biological weapon and the vaccine will serve those who produce this virus”
According to Lau 2020, they surveyed respondents for their study about
Philippines, from communities in rural urban and coastal settings. They found out that
television and radio is the most used media sources for information about Covid-19.
Most of the respondents already know that coughing and sneezing is the transmission
of the virus but some of them included hand contact, in the other hand, handwashing
was the most common preventive measure against the virus because it was identified

than half of the participants 62.1% touched their face mask while using it. About putting
a used face mask on the garbage bin 7.6% of the participants discarded it into a
garbage bin without a lid and 22.5% discarded it into a garbage bin in their reach
According to Med 2020. The Saudi Ministry of Health (MOH) surveyed 5105
participants including 58.4% are females, 66.3% are young individuals aged 18 – 37
years, 55.8% have a degree holder and 51% are from west region. Most of them 78.2%
are high awareness 81.3% is staying at home most of them are females, middle region
and had a high education. On the other hand having a social distancing found in 37.8%
most of them never leaving home during the stay at home period.

PART 2 Decision making
This section will state the sequence of steps taken by the researchers in
gathering data. First, the researchers will create a title validated by the professor that
also includes the problem to be answered by the result of the study. An observational
style of research is used. The researchers then formulate interview guide questions to
know the insight of senior high students on being undecided in getting a vaccine for
COVID-19.
After getting the research instrument validated, the researchers will now start
finding a maximum of 5 students, taking into consideration the fact that they are
Once the respondents have been gathered, the researchers will conduct an

This chapter presents summary and conclusion derived in a conduct of the study
which to the insight of senior high students on being undecided in getting a vaccine for
Covid-19, it has also provided recommendation that can be perused by the researchers
The study was conducted in one private school in Pasig City the informants were
the senior high students which is grade 11 and 12 they were selected using purposive
sampling. It employed qualitative research method. Pertain data obtain thru interview.

Recommendation
After researcher have gathered enough data and conclusion have been made,
For the Senior High School Students Stay home if you feel unwell.
For the Parents Refrain from smoking and other activities that weaken the lungs.
For the Teachers Maintain at least 1-meter distance between you and the students
For the School Admin they could host a webinar for the students to know the reason
of why most of the them are having a lack of trust in covid-19 vaccine's effectiveness.
For the Future Researchers Increased studies into covid-19 prevention and
preparedness.
