Welcome to Teachable!
We are committed to helping you achieve success with your courses. Use
this checklist as a guide for setting up all the fundamental elements of
your school so you are ready to launch.
Getting started
There are a few things to do in your school before starting your course.
Confirm your email address (look for the Edit and confirm your school URL
notification at the top of your dashboard) under Site > Domains
Pro-tip:
• Once you have confirmed your Teachable domain, you will see the
option to add a custom domain or subdomain to your school.
Phase 1: Your Course
In this phase, the focus is on creating your content and
setting up your curriculum.

Add your content to lectures. Check out this article for an overview of
the types of content you can add to a Teachable course
Create your pricing options under the Pricing tab in your course

Pro-tips:
• Update your sales page URL under the settings wheel
• For multiple pricing options, add a pricing block instead of a CTA button
• While checkout page fields cannot be edited due to encryption, you are
able to add testimonials and bullet points to the sidebar
• The thank you page confirms enrollment and helps students navigate to
the curriculum
Setting up a welcome email
After enrollment, students will receive the purchase receipt and the
confirmation email. To set up an additional course welcome email, follow
these steps:
Set your the welcome section to open zero days after enrollment
When a student enrolls, the drip feature will send your welcome email along with the
Teachable transactional emails.
Pro-tip:
• Use the drip feature to lock your sections until a specific date or
period of time. This is great for running time-based or cohort-based
courses. Content is dripped by section.
Sample Sales Page
A sales page tells the story of your course. Here is an
example to help you visualize yours.
Phase 3: Pre-launch
In this phase, the focus is on the other aspects of your school that need
to be configured before you’re ready to launch.
Brand your school with your logo and color palette under Site > Theme
• Enroll in your course as if you were a student (with a different email address)
• Navigate to the Users tab and find your record. From there, navigate to the
enrollments tab to ensure you were properly enrolled
