Why do we study Statistics in Pakistan Studies?

Introduction:

Statistics is one of the sub-disciplines of mathematics. This discipline has got much fame and
attracted many scholars and academicians towards itself. As education is becoming
interdisciplinary many disciplines are taught subsequently in other disciplines. Statistics is also
playing an important role in modern education. There is a deep relation between Pakistan Studies
and Statistics both disciplines are deeply related and cannot be separated. Below I am going to
discuss some reasons for studying statics in Pakistan Studies:

Statistics for conducting Research:

Many researches are carried out in the field of Pakistan Studies and thousands of scholars
conduct different studies in this field. Research work is all about statistics. The research worker’s
job is to present the data before the community.The research worker uses statistical methods to
solve particular problems under differing conditions. Statistics are the basics of every research
activity. In other words, research can’t be possible without statistics. The researcher should have
excellent statistics skills to be a good researcher.It helps to keep the interest of the researcher in
the research work or data research work.

It helps in State Management (Administration):

Statistics is essential to a country. Different governmental policies are based on statistics.


Statistical data are now widely used in making all administrative decisions. Suppose if the
government wants to revise the pay scales of employees in view of an increase in the cost of
living, and statistical methods will be used to determine the rise in the cost of living. The
preparation of federal and provincial government budgets mainly depends upon statistics because
it helps in estimating the expected expenditures and revenue from different sources. So statistics
are the eyes of the administration of the state. Like in Pakistan stock exchange is good example
where statics is used as a base.

Government:

The importance of statistics in government is utilized by making judgments about health,


populations, education, and much more. It may help the government to check out what education
schedule can be beneficial for students. The government can assemble specific data about the
population of the country using a census.

Teaching Pakistan Studies:

The beneficial importance of statistics in teaching Pakistan Studies is that teachers can be
considered supportive as researchers during their classrooms to recognize what education
technique works on which student and know the reason.
They also need to estimate test details to determine whether students are working expectedly,
statistically, or not.

Conducting Social Surveys:

In Pakistan studies main focus is laid on studying the cultures of societies of nation for which
conducting surveys is crucial thing. The social survey uses the Sampling techniques and
estimation theory. Actually, these are the most powerful tools for conducting a social survey.
Pakistan Studies is a crucial part of social studies. Statistics is also playing a critical role in
Pakistan Studies. It helps in studying mortality, fertility, population growth, and so on.

Conclusion

Statics and Pakistan Studies are both deeply interrelated and it is not easy to separate these two
disciplines from each other. It play crucial part in studying Pakistan Studies as it play important
role in conducting research, administering state conducting surveys etc.
