The meeting discussed the progress of elevator installation works at PKG 89/1 & 89/2. For both packages, mechanical works were completed but electrical works were stopped due to the lack of a permanent power source. Arabtec and DMC were tasked with coordinating with suppliers to provide required components like RCDs. MOM – Coordination Meeting ( Elevator works @ PKG 89/1 & 89/2)

Upon our Concurrent meeting on Tuesday November 2, 2021 @ Uptown Cairo


regarding follow up Elevators works @ PKG 89/1 & 89/2 in presence of:

1- Eng., Yasser Fathi rmc – Senior Electrical Engineer.


2- Eng., Ahmed abd elrahman ATC – MEP Manager.
3- Eng., Soliman Ziyad DMC – Senior Electrical Engineer.
4- Eng., Amr Abdel Hady Schindler –Lead Project Manager.

All Messer discuss the current status of elevator works regarding each phase as
the following:-

A- PKG 89/1 (Bldg. 5, 6) & (Bldg. 7, 8) (Bldg., 9, 10, 11).


A_1: All Mech. Works (Brackets – Guide Rails “cabinet & counter weight “–
Elevator Machine – Threshold door frame only ) have been finished.

A_2: Elec. Works are stopping because there is no permanent electrical power
source 3 phase in the site, Schindler informed that there is no objection in
using Diesel Generator is allowable via Arabtec provided that ( permanent
cable feeder for elevator is done , Lighting fixtures inside the shaft shall be
executed with deviator switch in up & down shaft , disconnect switch for
elevator shall be existed and the dedicated MCCB @ EMDB Panel board for
Bldg. ( 5,6,7,8 ) and Service Panels for Bldg. (9,10,11) shall be provided with
RCD 300 milli amper as a machine protection from current leakage “ Not
Found as per IFC drawing – knowing that EMDBs are delivered in site”.

A_3: Arabtec shall send RFI regarding Schindler requirements for RCDs to
coordinate with GILA – Factory (panel builder supplier) to provide these
RCDs inside the panel boards (EMDBs & Service panels)

A_4: Schindler will provide with all factory test certificates for all elevators’
parts (Elevator by Elevator) max Thursday November 11, 2021.

A_5: Arabtec will complete all remaining works in elevator shaft (install
deviator wiring devices – shaft’s luminaires – Earthing works – Data’s cables
regarding IP telephone).

A_6: Arabtec will study with Schindler to complete electrical works in all
elevators by providing temporary devices (Disconnect Switches and RCDs)
till EMAAR provide in the site and test & commissioning will be performed in
case of completing all missing items as permanent.

A_7: Arabtec informed that the permanent electrical current will be ready via
transformers after finishing all Landscape works above MV- Cables as per
EMAAR ‘s instructions to be protected from any damage may be occur “ i.e.
all transformer & infrastructure works @ Village Z3 in Arabtec Scope”.

A_8 : Schindler informed that will finish Elevator threshold doors after
Arabtec shall scavenge shaft elevators knowing that all elevator cabinet still
hold till providing all items are mentioned in clause A_2.

A_9: Schindler informed that each elevator will take 10 days / team for
remaining works (Electrical & QC TEST) to be ready for test &
commissioning.

A_10: Schindler obligates with informing both MC & consultant that the
elevators are ready to be tested in presence of Schindler QC audit.

A_11: Arabtec will review time schedule as whole including elevators’ works
to feedback us the accurate times for elevators’ handover.

B- PKG 89/2 (Bldg. 1, 2, 3, 4).

B_1: All Mech. Works (Brackets – Guide Rails “cabinet & counter weight “–

B_2: Elec. Works are stopping because there is no permanent electrical power

B_4: Schindler obligates with submitting all approved documents “scanned


copy” to DMC & rmc – Consultant on Thursday November 4, 2021.

B_5: Schindler will provide with all factory test certificates for all elevators’
parts (Elevator by Elevator) max Thursday November 11, 2021.

B_6: DMC will enable Schindler to install Threshold elevator doors by


erecting scaffolds building by building ASAP.

B_7: Schindler obligates with informing both MC & consultant that the
elevators are ready to be tested in presence of Schindler QC audit.

B_8: Schindler informed that each elevator will take 10 days / team for
remaining works (Electrical & QC TEST) to be ready for test &
commissioning.

B_9: DMC will study with Schindler to complete electrical works in all
elevators by providing temporary devices (Disconnect Switches and RCDs)
till EMAAR provide in the site and test & commissioning will be performed in
case of completing all missing items as permanent.

B_10: DMC will review time schedule as whole including elevators’ works to
feedback us the accurate times for elevators’ handover.
