    THE PROVINCE OF CALASIAO

    The name Calasiao was derived from


    the native word Kalasian, which
    means "a place where lightning
    frequently occurs", from the root
    word lasi, meaning "lightning". Upon

    literal Spanish translation of the
    word Kalasian.
