Introduction

You have successfully downloaded Crono.

Cronos is a software for the pre-print color management of all digital decoration processes.

The new Cronos, fully designed by the SACMI R&D team, allows automatic conversion of graphics files
within the colorimetric spectrum of any digital printer.

Cronos displays the graphics in a way that matches the actual print and lets users make accurate
comparisons with other print jobs (e.g. previous production runs, printing on other lines).

The new software interface ensures ease of use and a simple operational sequence.

The software is distributed with modular licenses and can be purchased together with a hardware package
that includes: a PC sized according to requirements, a high-resolution IPS monitor and a spectrophotometer
with automatic reading arm.

Cronos lets users manage graphics calibration and customization in a simple, user-friendly guided manner,
ensuring fast, stable, efficient printing of uniquely stylish ceramic products.

Directories
At first launch, Crono automatically creates three directories in default paths

- Working directory: folder which contains the Crono database (default ‘C:\Crono5WD’)

- Local output: default directory for local printing output (default ‘C:\CronoOutput’)

- Hot folders: directory to collect the ‘hot folders’ created with Crono (default ‘C:\ CronoHotFolders’)

You can always modify these paths from the Settings menu. Change of the Working directory will require a
restart of the application.

Default data
If the working directory does not exists or it is empty, Crono automatically creates default data for each
collection (Printer, Master, Product, etc.). Do use these items to get familiar with the interface and the
Crono flow. Delete them from ‘Del’ button whenever you want.

Spectrophotometers
Crono automatically interfaces with X-Rite i1 series. To avoid communication issues, please close any other
program dedicated to spectrophotometers piloting before launching Crono.
