Describe a time when you worked in a team:

One of the proverbs that I strongly believe in is “Together Everyone Achieves More”
because I find that I am more successful at work when I have a team supporting me. So
now I’d like to tell you about a team project that I was involved in during my Geography
class in my high school, which is one of the most amazing experiences that I have ever
had.
I remember there were six of us on the team, and the team’s name is “group 7”. Most
members were friends that I had already known well before, so I felt quite comfortable
and confident while working with them.
The task that the teacher gave us was to make a mind map about the characteristics of
the Đông Nam Bộ area, and she allowed us to use books or the internet for extra
knowledge. We can do it home but only had 1 week to finish it, so we need to be
concentrate.
At first, we had to choose meeting points to do the project together, and after a lively
debate, we chose a small coffee that have good drinks. We decided to gather there on
Saturday and Sunday, and the rest of the week we would discuss the project using
Facebook.
You can say I was the nerd in the team, so I was given the role of collecting data from
books, but all the team members were always ready to help me. At first, I felt really
difficult with summarizing content, but with the enthusiastic help of everyone, I finally
completed my work.
At the end of the project, our mind map looked so great that we were recognized as the
best team and everyone gets 9 points for our efforts. Each member showed a good level
of responsibility and teamwork, and it was a memorable experience for me.

3. Describe a leader you admire:

Facebook is one of the most famous websites in the world, which has connected billions
of people around the world together. The CEO of this amazing website is Mark
Zuckerberg, and he’s also a good leader that I admired lot.
Mark Zuckerberg is one of the youngest billionaires in the world, who isvoted by the
Time magazines to be the man of the year with the assets up to29,9 billion dollars. He is
a successful leader that always believes in hispartner. Being a manager, he always
knows about his own limitations and recognizesthe strengths of every staff in the
company. For example, Mark is not goodabout financial management, but Sheryl
Sandberg is, so Mark believes in him and nominatedhim as the company financial
director. By putting trust in the partner wisely, Zuckerberg helps the companygrow up
very quickly. And he is always looking for ways to innovate facebook. Heand his partner
never think of sleeping on victory.
I really admire MarkZuckerberg, not because of his impressive leadership skills but also
hispersonality.   He is always the one whoalways dare to take the risk, and this
personality brings his company to develop everyday.
So, if I have to talk about a good leader, it would have to be Mark Zuckerberg.
4. Describe an English lesson that you really enjoyed:

English is one of the main subjects that I have to study both in school and
university, and I also love it a lot. Honestly, I used to be scared of English until
I had a chance to attend a listening class by miss Ngoc at my high school, which
had changed my mind about studying this subject.
I remember it was one of our grammar lessons that the regular teacher was sick
so the school had to send miss Ngoc to cover her place. Throughout the two
hours, she explained to us the process of learning a language and how films can
serve as an effective way to immerse yourself in a language.
At first, she showed us a movie named “Extra”, which had a lot of strange
sentence patterns but was not too hard to understand. The most special thing
about this movie is that it is related to normal life that we can easily guess the
mean of new words.
After watching the movie, miss Ngọc wanted me to come in front of the class to
talk about that movie. I was very surprised at his decision. Afterward, I was
afraid that I would not be able to perform in front of so many people, and my
vocabulary maybe not be enough. Honestly, her faith in me gave me a boost to
my self-confidence and I believed that I could do it. I was making a lot of
mistakes during my performance. In addition to that, my pronounce was not
good at all. But after all, she still gave me a good mark and tell me that I could
study English better if I try.
Her mobilization made me feel more confident while talking in front of people
and found inspiration in learning English through movies. It was certainly one
of the most enjoyable lessons in my study life.nglish is one of the main subjects
that I have studied from when I was in primary school until university.
5. Describe your education. (where are you studying, what subject you
like most, what the subject is about, and explain why you are
interested in it):

When I was a little kid I always dreamed of becoming a doctor, and now my
childhood dream becomes true that I matriculated into Vietnam Military
Medical University 2 years ago. This is one of 19 national key universities in
Vietnam, training leading medical doctors that make great contributions to
the medical examination and treatment for the army and the people of
Vietnam.
To become a good doctor in the future, we have to study kinds of subjects
that are difficult and abstract. Most of those are related to medicine, and also
some other fields such as philosophy and foreign languages.
One of those is biological, which is hard to understand, but still my favorite
one.
First of all, I love to learn about living things and how they relate, and
biology explores all living things like humans, animals, and plants. It allows
me to gain an in-depth understanding of all living organisms on our planet,
for example how they function as well as how they rely on one another to
survive.
In addition to that, the way the teacher in university teaches Biology is
impressed me. The lesson plan is prepared very carefully with vivid images
and most importantly, after each lesson, we can practice observing with a
microscope that makes every lesson an interesting experience.
Honestly, sometimes studying biology helps me relax and temporarily forget
all pressures in my daily life.
6. Describe an exciting experience in your student life:

Being a student of a military medical school in Vietnam, we have to improve

not only medical expertise but also some basic skills of a soldier, one of those is
grenade throwing. In March of this year, we did a grenade-throwing test which is
an exciting experience that I’ll never forget.
The test occurred when I was studying for the military semester in Bac Giang.
Of course, because throwing grenade is a dangerous skill, we already had practiced
with fake grenades for months before the test. Even so, I still felt a little bit
nervous.
On the day of the test, we started traveling very early in the morning to the
training ground. Then we had to move through a series of tunnels until we reached
the grenade range to throw the real grenade. When I held the grenade, I suddenly
trembled with fear that I stood dumbfounded for a while. But the teacher cheered
and encouraged me a lot that gave me a boost to my self-confidence. Thanks to
that, I was able to confidently throw the grenade right into the target, and “boom” –
the grenade exploded, suddenly all my pressures disappeared. I realized if you try
your best, nothing is impossible.
All in all, after that experience, I gradually become a more well-rounded person
and learn various skills such as problem-solving and stress management…
So, if I have to talk about an exciting experience in my student life, it’s must be
that grenade test.
