I. State the null (Ho) & (Ha)

Ho: the mean final exam scores is 85. (µ = 85)

Ha: the mean final exam scores is not 85. (µ ≠ 85)

II. Specify the level of significance. α = 0.05


III. P-value (sig) = 0.000. The p-value is less than 0.05, therefore, the null hypothesis
(Ho) is rejected.
Conclusion:

There is a significant difference between the hypothesized value and actual value.

This implies that the mean final exam scores is not 85. In fact, it is 81 or less than 85.
