3.Description of Electronic Health Record Management System
The rapidly advancing field of information technology has provided many excellent
innovations, but it has also put pressure on the healthcare field to keep up. Health
information technology, which involves the management of patient health records, has
struggled to implement necessary changes in a timely manner. The lack of proper
implementation of electronic health record systems can cause errors in patient care
management and medical billing, along with other issues. So, the need to manage
health records safely and efficiently is important for many healthcare organizations.
4.Current Situation(As is System):
1. Manual reporting of patient
2. No centralized database of patients
Technical Feasibility:
This is concerned with specifying equipment and software and hardware that will
successfully satisfy the user requirement. The technical needs off the system may vary
considerably, but might include:
· Security.
· Robust RDBMS.
. Easy to Operate.
What new skills will be required? Do the existing staff members have these skills? If not,
can they be trained in due course of time?
At present stage all the work is done by manual. So, throughput and response
time is too much. So we are making sure that the our project has to be reliable
and user friendly
Economic feasibility:
Economic analysis is the most frequently used technique for evaluating the
effectiveness of a proposed system. More commonly known as cost/benefit
analysis: the procedure is to determine the benefits and saving that are expected
from a proposed system and compare them with cost. If benefits outweigh cost, a
decision is taken to design and implement the system. Otherwise, further
justification or alternative in the proposed system will have to be made if it is to
have a chance of being approved. This is an ongoing effort that improves in
accuracy at each phase of the system life cycle.
Hence the engineer will not find any difficulty at the installation time and after
installation user also newer find difficulty i.e. hang, slow speed or slow response
time. One project is compulsory for each person this project is either dummy or
lives. If I am developing a live project then it gives a lot of confidence. It is better
for me and for company because, I am developing a system with out any money.
So every thing is in favor now, I can say the cost of this software is I think
negligible.
Requirements for Dr
Information of patients will only be visible to Drs when one patient data is registered
Requirements of Patients :
Patient can divide into two group :
a) New patients
b) Already under observation/registered patient
Requirements for new patient :
Registration process with unique id(given by EHR system) . Then starting with some
requirements
a) New patient with Present complaints.
b) elaborate history and suffering problem ( History of presenting illness)
c) Past history( Like immunization, travel, family history egulo)
d) Drug history must. Because most of the patients are consuming various
medicines.
e) Previous diagnostic reports.
Then refer him/her to the particular Dr.
g) after Dr checkup all the reports, provisional diagnosis then the Treatment will be
continued.
h)When the patient visits again with his/her reports, those diagnostic reports are also
needed to include in the database for future treatment.
