Dear Applicant,
Thank you for considering an internship and or Production Assistant position on

the new South Dakota based production “Dust of War." Set in a post-apocalyptic
America, Dust of War tells of a wandering soldier hired to rescue a girl from a
brutal warmonger. Our hero joins forces with a cynical veteran and a slimy thief
to bring the girl to safety, encountering mysterious invaders and traveling
showmen along the way. Dust of War can be billed as a South Dakota flavored
Mad Max. The picture is directed by Andrew Kightlinger of Pierre.
As a PA or intern with “Dust of War” you will be a pivotal part of the production
process. We are currently looking for Production Assistants and Interns to help
with costume, makeup, set dressing, props, general art department and
wardrobe. Interns will be given room and board for the duration of the shoot but
only select Production Assistants will be paid. We are an independent production,
which means you will get experience. Great experience. Whether your interest is
in production design, or producing, you will have direct hands-on experience in
the everyday workings of a feature film set.
Principal photography: Begins August 11th with 26 shooting days and 3

pickup days (29 total). If you are not available for the entire shooting
schedule, we may consider work on a weekly basis.
Location: Area of Pierre, South Dakota and possibly the Badlands area of
Wall, SD
Positions Available: Production Assistants, costuming, makeup, set

dressing, props, general art department, production design and wardrobe
internships.
Compensation: Qualified Production Assistants may qualify for pay.

Interns will be given room and board and will be awarded credits for their
work.
