In the G.O. first read above among others a committee was constituted for the
award of Career Advancement Scheme under revised University Grants Commission
Pay Scales 1996 for various teaching posts in Government Degree Colleges as
indicated below:

2 Consequent to the repeal of Andhra Pradesh College Service Commission Act ot

1985, by section 2 of the Andhra Pradesh College, Commission (Repeal ) Act, 2001
(Andhra Pradesh Act.17 of 2001) Government have issued a Notitication vide Ci.O). 3d
read above transferring the authority together with the stall under the control of Andhra
Pradesh College Service Commission, Hyderabad to the control of Andhru Pradesh
Public Service Commission, Hyderabud and with the said orders the Andhru Pradesh
College Service Commission has merged with Andhru Pradesh Public Service
Commission,Hyderabad.
3. In the above circumstunces, the Commissioner of Collegiate Education, AP,

Chairman and Convener for Item II of G.O.Ms No. 67, HE (UEIL.1) Department, dated
4.4,2000, 1e.. in respect of Governnient Colleges. The Secretary. Ve AP Public Service
Commission. has informed that the Commission strongly felt in fitness of things. if the
Govermment want to induct the Chairman/ members of the Commission into the
Committee, they should chair the (Committee, being a constitutional body and any other
proposal nmay rellect its status and requested for early reply in the matter

Govermment after carceful consideration of the mutter have decided to issue

modified orders accepting the suggestion of the APPSC to induct the Chairman/
Members of the Commission into the Committee constituted under item
GOVERNMENT COLLEGES (State Level Commitlee for each University arca) in
G.O.Ms.No. 67 IE (UE.II-1) Department dated: 4.4.2000 and also to chair the
Committee, being a constitutional body for awarding C'areer Advancement Scheme to
Governent Degree College Teachers. Accordingly, in partial modification of the orders
issued in G.0.Ms.No.67, HE Department, dated: 4.4.2000, it is dirccted that the
composition of the Committee for awarding Career Advancement Scheme to Government
Degree College Teachers shall be as follows:
