3. Bread board
4. Trainer Kit

1. IC Tester:-
IC tester is known as semiconductor test
equipment/ atomated test equipment (ATE).
It is a system for giving electrical signals to a
semiconductor device to compare output
signals against expected values for the
purpose of testing if the device works as
specified in its design specifications. Testers
are roughly categorised into logic testers,
memory testers and analog testers.
Normally, IC testing is conducted at two levels
the wafer test ( also called the salt or prob
test) that test wafers, and the package test
(also called final test) after packaging.
Universal IC Tester (DICT-02):-

• It can test more than 600+ ICs

• Tests a wide range of Digital IC’s such as 74
Series, 40/45 Series ICs
• It can test Micro- processor 8085, 8086, Z80
& Peripherals like 8255, 8279, 8253, 8259,
8251, 8155, 6264, 62256, 8288, 8284
• It tests Op-amp, 555, Transistor Arrays,
Analog switches, Opto couplers and Seven
segment display of common cathode &
common anode type
• It has Auto search facility of all Digital ICs
• ZIF: 40 pin DIP ZIF sockets, Keys: 28
Membrane keys Key pad with numerical &
functional keys.
• Display: 9 Digit Seven Segment Display.
• Supply Input Voltage: 230V AC.

2.Multimeter:-
A Multimeter is an electronic
instrument, every electronic technician
and engineer’s widely used piece of test
equipment. A multimeter is mainly used
to measure the three basic electrical
characteristics of voltage, current, and
resistance. It can also be used to test
continuity between two points in an
electrical circuit.

Working :-
Types of multimeter include two probes
like red and black & two or three ports.
From them, one of the ports is
labeled.COM for common which is used
for black probe whereas the remaining
ports are labeled A used for amps and
mA/µA (milliamps/microamps). The final
port is labeled VΩ used for ohms & volts.
Sometimes, this port is integrated into
the 3rd one, which is next labeled mAVΩ.

If the multimeter includes four ports,

then the red probe can be plugged into
the VΩ port for measuring resistance as
well as voltage. When the red probe is
inserted into the mA port then the
current can be calculated & plugged into
the A port then the current can be
measured in amps. For instance, the
port used to test a diode using a
multimeter is the VΩ port and this port
can also be used to test a transistor
3.Bread board :-
Brief about Breadboard
Breadboard is a plastic board with a
bunch of tiny holes and is used for
building and testing circuits. It has holes
on them which are connected internally
in a particular pattern as shown in the
below picture. The holes which are
connected through green line represents
they are connected internally. The Red
line indicates Power, which is normally
connected to the power rail. The Blue
line indicates Ground, which is normally
connected to the ground of the circuit.
IC’s like Decade Counter can be placed in
the middle breadboard to share the 1st
eight pins to the yellow line and the 2nd
eight pins to the green lines.
How to Use a Breadboard to Make a
Circuit?

To use a breadboard for your circuit, follow

the circuit diagram and connect one
component in a line. Always connect the
battery at the last after double-check all the
connections. Keep an eye out of common
mistakes like mixing ground and supply,
connect in a wrong rail, ICs not set properly,
etc.

In the below diagram, we made a circuit for

Glowing LED on a breadboard.
4. Trainer kit :-
Digital electronics trainer is a
device that is functions as a
tool for learning, teaching and
testing digital electronic
circuits. It also designed to
offer an option for student to
quickly build, modify and
troubleshoot all sort of circuit
and it is ideal for academician
to use it as a learning aid tool.
Conventional electronic trainer
boards consist of breadboard
as their main part for circuit
connection and some other
features such as LED display
and switches.
Features:-
• Completely self-contained stand
alone unit.
• Built in IC based DC regulated power
supply.
• Test points provided on panel at
various stages in the circuit.
• Set of required number of Patch
cords
• Strongly supported by a
comprehensive instruction manual
complete with theory and operating
details.
