Describe (D):
What were you trying to achieve in your lesson?

In order to ensure that my students learn and read words that start with A sound, counting and
zoo animals. I create a full lesson about it.

During the Introduction, I started with morning routine then I showed students good morning
song and I asked students question for prior knowledge it’s about the letters and who can give
me words start with S and O letters “day and month”. I showed students video about zoo
animals and asked them some questions. Last thing, I showed students number song.
- Like what the Montessori approach operates on the belief that children learn best when they
possess background knowledge about a subject.

- During the active engagement, I divided the students into groups according to levels. In Math
center, students enjoyed the activity very much because they were choosing the animals picture
and cut the pictures then paste them in order. The activity was excellent, and the students
interacted well with it. I think it is a very good activity to review and teach numbers and develop
fine motor skills. In science center, the students enjoyed a lot, they to solve the puzzle and
match animals with what they eat. In art center, I asked students to create a lion headband. I
linked playing with education, and this is a very effective way of teaching and students memorize
the information easily.
- During the conclusion, I used online activity. The students interacted well with this activity and
were eager to answer

- Froebel education believes that play is purposeful, and that meaning is created through
hands-on play activities (2013). I used online game as an assessment for children and this
will help me to make sure that I as a teacher if the students understand the lesson and, the
students will have fun while they learn.

What did the students do?

During the introduction, students were interacting with me and most of the time when I called
their name they would respond and answer my questions. During the active engagement,
students were excited to do the activity and most of them they try every activity. During the
conclusion, students they answer the question together and collaborate.

How well did you engage the students?

I engage students when I asked them to answer the questions and interact with another’s. Also,
when I let them work together in art center.

Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?

in my opinion, the students were able to understand the learning outcome because I used
pictures, videos and online game. This resource help students to understand the concept and
help them understand the new words. In addition, Activities that link with play are very effective
and help students remember the information.

By the end of the lesson, 80% of the students will be able read and write numbers and know
about zoo animals and what animals need to live.
