Essay. Explain the importance of food security in our country.

Food security refers to the ability of individuals to obtain sufficient food on a day-to-day
basis. It is defined as the ability of people to secure adequate food. A nation's food security is
assured when all of its inhabitants have access to adequate healthy food, everyone has the
financial means to purchase food of acceptable quality, and there are no barriers to food
availability. International human rights law recognizes the right to food as a fundamental right. It
aids in increasing productivity and, as a result, food output. It may be able to aid in the creation
of income-generating options. It also improves nutritional recommendations through home
economics programs and improves the quality of life in rural areas through community
development
