Objective:
To review the main elements of a poster.

Description:
Practice designing posters and using images for a topic of your choice.

Requirements:
For this activity, you will have to elaborate an outline of your poster, it can be in an electronic format
or in paper. Therefore, you will need to prepare for the first part of the activity.

Individually or in pairs.
Part 1.

 Choose a “how to do” or “how to use” one of the software or applications explained on
the topic 1-6 of this course, in order to elaborate a poster board proposal.

In a document:

 Provide a description of the main theme, select the images to be used as visual aid.
 Explain the method used for your poster and the relationship to the audience (one piece
or panel method).

 Answer the following:

1. What is the purpose of your poster?

2. Who will be looking at your poster?


3. What will your audience be looking for?

4. Where will your poster be displayed?


 Explain the structure of your poster, text, colors and images that you will need for the
poster.

Part 2.

 Draw the sketch of your poster. Remember to use a grid or columns to establish the
structure of your poster.
