The family that was assigned to us is the XX family. They are composed of 3
people which are the father, mother, and the son. Though they are living together, they
are not married due to financial constraints. Right now the mother is currently pregnant
with an AOG of 25 weeks and 8 days. They are living at Purok IKP Ipil beach, Brgy.
Duterte, Agdao, Davao City. The father's mother provided them their home and they
have been living in this location for seven years now.

The family we assessed is originally from Davao City and they are Catholics. Both
the mother and father are elementary graduates. Though the father did not reached
high school level, he provides them the things that they need to survive such as foods
and vitamins for the pregnant mother. The father is a delivery boy of a flour company
and earns Php8,000- Php10,000 per month. They also added that some of their money
was spent on the tuition fee of their son.

The place of the family was provided by their mother and they are not paying for
it but as for electricity they are sharing with the bills. They are congested in one area
wherein they have a common kitchen and comfort room. The mother goes to the health
center for her prenatal check-up weekly. They are using stairs going inside their home,
in which it is steep, narrow, and dangerous for both the child and the pregnant mother.
The room total area is 10 square meters and has no windows. They have a ceiling fan,
rice cooker and butane stove. Since they don't have refrigerator they put their left overs
in the rice cooker. They don't have a proper dining area but they eat on the hallway
outside the house. Proper waste disposal is not observed. The house is made of wood.
We also noticed that their drainage was not covered and there many flies and
mosquitos noticed.

The current health status of the mother and father is well but the son has cough
for 2 days. The father started smoking at the age of 13 and smokes 6-8 sticks per day
and drinks alcohol occasionally while the mother doesn't smoke nor drink alcohol. The
mother is 25 weeks and 8 days pregnant and she visits the health center weekly for
prenatal check-up. She also had been immunized with tetanus toxoid way back 2014 on
her first pregnancy and now for the second pregnancy. The family is eating 3 times a
day. For the breakfast they are buying cooked viands such as chapsuey and pinakbet.
They also added that the mother is cooking their own food for lunch and dinner such as
tahong, tortang itlog na may tinapa, and adobong talong.

Whenever there is someone sick in their family they don’t immediately go to the
physician instead they try to self-medicate first and if they cannot cure it that is the time
they to the physician. Unfortunately, they don’t go to the health center for consultation.
The mother also added that they do not engage in any dangerous sport and is not
exercising. She also added that she only stays at the house and does not go to malls to
relax and have fun. They always stay at their house. They do not use a mosquito net
because if they do use it, they said that it is contributes to the hotness of the place.
They sleep at the ground with a “banig”.
OBSTETRICAL DATA

The mother started a family when she was 20 years old. She has one child. She
has a regular menstrual cycle of 28 days. She delivered her child via normal
spontaneous vagina delivery (NSVD). According to her, she never experienced any
complication in all her children.

She regularly follows prenatal check-up when she was pregnant. Her obstetric
history is G2P1T1P0A0L1 and will bear his 2nd child later on. We conducted urine test for
the presence of protein and sugar. The test results showed a trace of sugar and has a
ph level of 7. We then followed it up with HGT and the results was 160mg/dl
