    CAPSTONE ASSESSMENT

    Art Appreciation
    1st Semester AY 2021-2022

    Sim 1

    I had the great idea of naming my avatar after myself. Because my name is
    Simone, I dubbed it Sim 1. It's nearly identical because if you place a space
    between the first and second syllables of my name, the result is Sim One. Sim
    comes from my name, and one signifies unity or companionship, which is
    appropriate given that we are in the midst of a pandemic and must work
    together, and that an election is approaching, and we must vote for someone
    who will improve our nation.

    Jesus, a 19-year-old second-
    year Industrial Engineering
    student who is presently
    enrolled in Art Appreciation.
    Since the outbreak of the
    pandemic, I've grown to like and
    enjoy capturing images.

    1. As the artist, how would you like your avatar (icon) to look like?

    My avatar (icon) should reflect what best characterizes me (my appearance and
    demeanor), as well as my hobbies, interests, and beliefs.

    2. What do you intend to represent through your avatar? How does the avatar
    represent your self?

    I want to show through my avatar that, while I appreciate international artists, I


    am still a people's advocate. The image represents me by demonstrating that I
    am a responsible and knowledgeable voter who can contribute to the
    betterment of our nation.

    The elements of visual arts that I will use in designing my avatar are form and
    color.

    The specific social reality I'd want to generate with my avatar is that we should vote
    wisely in the forthcoming election.
    We should consider not just the betterment of our city or neighborhood, but also the
    improvement of the entire country.
    We should consider whether authorities will be able to assist the people and solve
    the problems that our country is now experiencing.

    5. Based on the social reality that you have identified, what specific cause (principle or
    aim that you would like to stand up for/defend/advocate) can be seen through your
    avatar?

    Based on the social reality that I've identified, the concept that I'd want to advocate
    for is that, even if we, the generation that likes to support foreign artists,
    nevertheless want to see our country progress.
    We are aware of the events taking on in our country, and we know who to vote for
    and who to support in order to help our country solve its issues.

    to use?

    I will design my avatar using digital art.
