ASSESSMENT TASK NO.

1. How useful is the technology for teaching and learning?

In today situation technology is every important in teaching and learning. Through


the help of technologies teachers was able to continue teach student through the means of online
class by using google classroom, zoom, etc. Also it is a much more convenient because they can
send the modules through the means of email, google forms, or simple through chat groups. As
for student it is also convenient to them as all of these resources now can be found online.
Articles, books, etc. Plus, it is not that hassle because classes are now online and in home
settings. As long as there are technologies both parties would benefit to these.

2. Discuss the three domains of educational technology

1. Technology as a tutor – means that technology could provide tutorials to


teachers. It could be used to look for journal or videos where a certain topic is
discussed. And also technology could be also use to give tutorials to fellow
teacher or professionals.

2. Technology as a teaching tool – Through the help of different application like


zoom, google meet/classroom, google forms, etc. Technologies could be used
as a tool in a method of teaching.

3. Technology as a learning tool – Technology make learning easier and very


convenient because all that you need are in the palm of your hands or one click
away. So many articles, educational video and books are now online and with
the help of technologies it’s so much easy to access this references unlike
before where you need to go to libraries or buy newsletter and magazine to be
your references.

3. How are you going to use technology when you become a teacher?

The structure of institutions is changing as a result of technological advancements.


From students, instructors, academic staff to parents, technology is at the fingertip of
everyone.
As a teacher, I am open to the idea of being active in the delivering better education
efficiently with the use education automation.
The digitalization in education will allow me and my students to connect through
mobile app technology, which then allows me to manage the classroom, attendance,
exams, and results, among other things. All of this is available thanks to our technology
and me, being tech savvy. Different applications automate every step in the school in
order to improve education while also decreasing the academic operations costs. As a
result, I can say that, as a teacher, I effectively utilizing technology and incorporate it into
my daily routines in order to improve and advance my way of teaching.

4. Discuss the usefulness of technology to teachers and teaching process and to the learners
and the learning process.

Due to the fact that technology is finally being incorporated into education, its application
in teaching and learning remains a challenge. Given the fact that several schools now
have quick access to technology, well-trained instructors, and a favourable policy
environment, technology use in the classroom remains low. Teachers' pedagogical ideas
have been blamed for low levels of technology adoption in education.

Having said that, the power of technology to improve learning cannot be overstated. For
students with special needs, the use of technology has been around for a long time. Brail
machines, for example, have been used to assist the vision impaired. Furthermore,
technology is used to boost learning in special needs programs that assist youngsters with
autism. Educators hope to achieve pedagogical change and solve fundamental challenges
that affect learners with special needs by using technology into the classroom. As a result,
technology can be viewed as both a tool and a catalyst for change.

Today's technologies for improving and imparting knowledge can be found in almost every
classroom. We can only say we have accepted technology in education when it is
employed for both teaching and learning, ignoring other contextual variables such as
unequal access to technological advancements and connected devices across schools
and districts. The major goal of integrating technology into schools is to transform how
teachers and students gather, access, analyse, present, and send data. This can assist
differentiate instruction and democratize knowledge in classrooms, especially for students
with special needs.
The following are some examples of how technology could be used to increase learning:
 Teachers are motivated to develop learning targets/objectives and differentiate
instruction based on the needs of their students, particularly to the widespread
availability of student databases which can track individual progress.
 When teachers utilize technologies to deliver education, they need to use a channel
that is suitable for the objectives, learning style, mode, and technology used.
 When using technology to evaluate students' learning and the utilization of technology
played in that process, teachers might construct follow-up activities.
 Overall, technology is important in all aspects of society, and its incorporation into the
learning system has a lot of potential for improving student learning. Teachers and
 students should expect enhanced efficiency and effectiveness as a result of
technology. Technology can also help to drive pedagogical change and address
challenges that affect learning, teaching, and social structure. As a result, technology
can be viewed as both a tool and a motivating factor. Students must accept technology
in order to benefit from it, and teachers must be willing to introduce technology into the
classroom in order to improve and reinvent their teaching methods.
