Export Requirements

• GCC countries consists of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, United Arab Emirates
(UAE), Kuwait and Oman.

• Export of food to GCC Countries may be referred to GCC Guide for Control on
Imported Foods.

• GCC Guide for Control on Imported Foods is applicable to:


- Processed Food
- Assorted Food Products
- Meat and Meat Products
- Milk and Milk Products
- Egg and Egg Products
- Products of Aquatic Animal Origin
- Honey and Bee Products
- Plant and Plant Products

• This Guide describes principles and regulatory requirements to be applied by the


exporting country and the importing GCC countries in assuring the safety and
suitability of shipments of imported food.

• Formats of health certificates (from animal and plant origins) which include specific
attestations and processing establishment implements HACCP are provided in the
Guide.

NOTE:

• The entry into force of GCC Guide for Control on Imported Foods has been delayed until
further notice.

• Exporters are required to obtain information from importers or agents regarding the
format of health certificate either in GCC format or general food format.
