What’s New

Our body, mind, and spirit are characteristics of being a person that are also referred to as
the pillars of life. Because they are linked, they are depicted as a circle. Though spirit is an
invisible feature, it is nonetheless depicted in the circle's outside rim since our spirit is an
observer and may guide us to a positive path. Our mind is the one in charge of our ability
to think. It is the one who instructs the body to respond to a certain stimuli. Our body is the
center of the circle because it serves as a basin for our bodily components and, most
importantly, our brain. What our soul absorbs from our surroundings may influence our
way of thinking, and what we think in our minds impacts our bodies.

What I Have Learned

Activity 2: I PICTURE OUT MYSELF

DRAWING OF MYSELF:

EXPLANATION:

As a human person, I am a reliable friend and co-student; I can assist anybody in need; I am a
dependable and helpful daughter; I am a protective yet bossy sister; and I am a fan and basher of
myself. I nourish myself by working out regularly and eating nutritious meals. I enjoy sweets and salty
foods, but I restrict how much I consume. What I detest about them is that I became bloated after
eating so much of it. Most of the time, I feel happy, courageous, friendly, curious, timid, loved, and
goofy. While sadness and cranky are feelings that I seldom experience. And the emotions I strive to
avoid are anger, disappointment, guilt, embarrassment, insecurity, and jealousy. Quite yet pleasant
environment, has a nice mood amongst neighbors, I can tell that most of us here are an open book,
cultures and traditions are still important to everyone. And, personally, I discovered inner serenity
through arts, as well as through bonding with my love ones. Most of the time, I use sight to get to know
someone or to make judgements on them. I can tell if they are real, lying, happy, sad, furious, if they
hate me or not, if someone is into me or not, if someone has a good or negative intention towards me,
and many other things just looking into their eyes. While I utilize my body language and speaking to let
information in and out, or to express what I want to. I unquestionably concentrate on the positive side. I
seek advice and company from people whom I can trust. I employ these methods whenever I experience
gloom, insecurity, exclusion, or depression.

ACTIVITY 3: I KNOW WHAT TO DO

I have known that the human and the person, respectively, are defined with classified origin of species
and persons with birth rights. Human person is someone with an exact origin of his/her classification.
From the biblical perspective, we came from Adam and Eve. For Science, we came from an Ape under
the Class: Mamallia. I also learned that Human person from time after time learned how to live beyond
what was traditional through the various human evolutions from Hominid to Homo Sapiens or the
Modern Man people learn the concept of power, politics and economics. These reasons served as basis
which led to a more structured political and economic system. Thus, rights of an individual are
considered. A human person is typically with a body which is tangible and has three components
composed of SOUL, MIND and SPIRIT. Also, he or she is entitled and granted rights and privileges by the
state which he or she legally belong.

I realized that there are two general kinds to distinguish a human person: The Cognitive Self and the
Physical Self. The Cognitive Self (something within and cannot be physically seen) is the essential
components of a human persons that deals with THE WHAT OF A PERSON which includes human
persons’ belief, desire, dreams, and intentions. The other is one is the Physical Self (something can be
seen in his/her physical appearance) which deals with the essential features of the human way of life or
THE WHO OF A PERSON which includes his/her body type, strength and appearances.

What I Can Do

ACTIVITY 4: MYSELF, MY FAMILY, MY COMMUNITY!

1. Because to my family and friends' support, I am able to solve and overcome the
challenges of this pandemic. They are here to help and guide me when I need it. My
teachers are always reachable when it comes to school issues, which is quite
beneficial. Because it made us feel as if we had another person who could assist us.
Regardless of the circumstances, I will continue to be a good student. I intend to
study diligently. I will make every attempt to complete all activities. I'll be sure to
consider all options before making a decision so that I don't end up regretting it.
2. This crisis taught me that everyone should be prepared at all times. This epidemic
will teach us a lesson and act as a stepping stone for us all. It's unfortunate that a
pandemic struck before we learned how inadequate or ineffective our country's
defensive mechanism was. The crisis exposed our flaws and the areas where we
need to improve. It also allowed me to realize what we can achieve despite the
situation. Many people have experimented with new interests and built or started
their own businesses. It enabled us to do the things we wanted to do and contribute
to our lives. It also allowed us to observe how many individuals are eager to help
and show their good intentions.

III. I KNOW, I AM AWARE, I HAVE LEARNED!

1. I am a rational animal because I am capable of critical thinking and determining what is

ethically good and wrong.

2. I am a person because I feel and express feelings.

3. I am a human being because I am a living, breathing entity with a body and a soul.
4. I am a human being with an embodied spirit since my soul coexists with my body and
both are interdependent. Without the assistance of my soul, I cannot manage my body to
speak or act. Having an embodied spirit made me one-of-a-kind and capable of better
comprehending myself.

5. My soul and body are connected since my body's existence is dependent on my soul.
