Introduction
Data management is the process of gathering, storing, accessing, and securing data from
multiple corporate software systems. Using data management leads to more efficient access
to data analytics, which provide the insights required to optimise corporate operations and
discover possibilities for change. In the case report, the effective understanding of data
management broad concepts will be developed, also different measure to store, collect,
manipulate and clean data will be determined. The data management strategy will be
recommended for Slow Fashion Pty Ltd company. The pre-proposal or data management
solution will be provided to the company in an effective manner.

Strategy of Data Management
The process of preparing or developing strategies/plans for handling an organization's data
that is generated, stored, controlled, and processed is known as data management strategy. It
is a procedure in IT governance that seeks to formulate and construct a well-planned strategy
to managing an organization's data resources. From the case scenario, it has been analysed
that Slow Fashion Pyt Ltd, is a fast-growing fashion online business. The company is
planning to outsource its data management function to a reputed organisation that is capable
to manage its data. According to a recent research, big data is being utilised more and more in
the fashion sector for “trend forecasting, logistics, consumer behaviour analysis, preferences,
and feelings.” Data analysis has already begun to play a significant role in anticipating client
behaviour and purchasing trends in the fashion sector (Punt, et al., 2016). Data analytics is
assisting fashion businesses with their marketing efforts as well as in determining the best
goods to bring to market.
It can be seen that Big Data Analytics can be effective data management strategy for Slow
Fashion Pyt, Ltd. Big data analytics may assist in making judgments about consumer
demands based on predictive analysis. This is also beneficial in terms of resource availability
over time. The firm uses data mining in its marketing activities (Tsai, et al., 2015).

The above image depicts the different sources of big data. The slow Fashion company will
manage different types of data such as transactional data, master data, metadata, reporting
data and many others. The company will also make use of Document management system
for storage of documents with easy access facility. The fashion company will manage such
data with the use of big data analytics and adopt advance technology to have track of all
records (Zakir, et al., 2015).
5
Operations of General Data Management
The data management procedure consists of a number of activities that work together to
ensure that the data in business systems is correct, available, and approachable. The Slow
Fashion company will conduct out admission operations such as gathering, validating,
preserving, and analysing data to allow simple access by users while also ensuring the
customers' and firm's reputation. In general, data management activities will consist of a set
of basic data management functions. The business will build a database, install necessary
software, establish data security, and handle database backups and updates (Polyzotis, et al.,
2017).

enhances data quality, consistency, and correctness. Big data will manage metadata for the
fashion industry through smart data governance. Policies will be in place to guarantee that
information can be easily accessed and controlled. Metadata governance is extremely
important for the school, especially when making decisions. It will examine the standards,
roles, and responsibilities associated in operational operations including metadata integration.
Data quality comprises of following measures:

systems. The user requirement is to engage its staff focus more on product development and
customer service. The different techniques to collect client requirement includes:
