In line with the goal of the K to 12 Basic Education Program to produce graduates who are ready
for higher education, middle skills development, employment and entrepreneurship, the Schools
Division Office I Pangasinan through the Youth Formation of the School Governance and
Operations Division mandates all school heads, teachers, guidance counselors and career
advocates to strengthen the Career Guidance Program (CGP) in all public secondary schools.
Relative thereto, please be reminded of the following activities to be implemented with regard to
the program.

The Youth Formation Unit of the School Governance and Operations Division manages and
monitors the implementation of the CGP. All reports, issues and concerns concerning CGP may
be submitted or directed to their office.
Additionally, all guidance designates in Junior and Senior High School are advised to secure
their designation orders and provide a copy of the same to the Youth Formation
Coordinators not later than June 15, 2018. Attached in this memorandum is a template to be
followed.
Expenses related to the conduct of CGP shall be charged to local funds or school Maintenance and
Other Operating Expenses (MOOE) subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and
regulations.

The personnel named below are designated to perform the following functions, including but not
limited to the implementation of the Career Guidance Program (CGP):

1. Initiates capacity-building/trainings of Grade 10 – 12 class advisers on the implementation


of CGP through school learning action cells (SLAC);

2. Ensures the implementation of career guidance modules for Grades 10 – 12;

3. Prepare reports regarding the activities conducted in connection with the CGP;

4. Attend seminars/trainings concerning CGP; and

5. Perform other functions inherit thereto or incidental therein by virtue of this designation.
