Course Description:
• This is an introduction to research that will provide prospective teachers the
fundamentals of research in order to build awareness in conducting basic, applied or
action research that will provide empirical bases to improve teaching and learning.
• Furthermore, this course endeavors to train students to become good researchers as
it attempts to introduce them the basic concepts, principles, and procedures of
methods of research and thesis writing in the simplest approach that an
undergraduate student can understand. It also provides students with basic research
and effective technical writing skills to help them understand scientific studies as
part of their course requirements and in preparation for doing research studies on
their own or in collaboration with others.
