However, Academic Excellence Awards will not be suspended to recognize the time,
commitment, and effort exerted by all learners, as well as promote a culture of excellence and
growth mindset. DO No. 3 1, s. 2020 already ensures that assessment and grading is grounded on
the principles of validity, reliability, authenticity, and fairness even in distance learning. Planning and
conducting assessment remotely have been made possible through the adoption of various
formative and summative assessment strategies where every learner is properly monitored and
receive timely and effective feedback for improvement. In addition, Academic Excellence Awards are
the primary eligibility requirements for scholarship grants in universities and colleges as indicated in
CHED Memorandum order No. 08 s. 2019, Policies and Guidelines for GHED scholarship Programs
(CSPs).
City of Malolos Senior High School conduct a Virtual Recognition Day for the 3 rd quarter to
showcases the academic excellence of chosen learners from grade 11 and 12 that received good
academic performance or high grades. With the help of the Awards Committee headed by Award
Committee Chairperson Mr. Ariel Cristobal and his members, they chose the learners where they get
a general average of 90-94 and 95-97, that will be awarded with honors and with high honors,
respectively. The recognition award was highlighted by PowerPoint Presentation via Google Meet.
