Prelim Exam Activity#3
1.What new ideas about mathematics did you learn?
Everything that we see in our modern world is ultimately mathematical or should I
say mathematics is what makes the universe. Mathematics doesn’t just describe
reality its essence may sound radical but it has deeper roots in our history.
Mathematics is the truth of nature with the use of patterns and symbols the
resulting image or product is precise and balance. Mathematical properties
such as Fibonacci sequence permeates the natural world.
2.What is it about mathematics that might changed your thoughts
about it?
Mathematics is not only a subject, it works so well to describe the physical reality
or the world, it canalso be a language of science. Mathematics is the reason why
we understand things in easier way. Thenature is easier to explain with the help
of simple drawing using the Fibonacci spiral or the goldenratio. Most of the
things around us was made by patterns or by sequence of numbers.
3.What is most useful in mathematics for humankind?
Mathematics makes it possible to solve that have never been solved before. It helps
us count numbers from 1 to infinity and beyond and it also help us know how to
add, subtract, multiply and divide.Mathematics makes innovation possible and makes
the world you live in possible.
Mathematics helps predict the behavior of nature and
phenomena in the world.
What you see today in the modern world which all appears to be controlled by the
rules of mathematics is the culmination of a lot of experimentation, observation and
error correction. Which, by the way, is still going on. This all works because
mathematics gets to the underlying essence of each phenomenon.
Math does help predict the behavior of nature and phenomena in the world. This is
the field called "Mathematical Modelling". An example would be the whole field
of Physics, from Newton's Laws of Motion, to Electromagnetic Equations, these
are all mathematical in nature.
Using mathematical tools we create models which correspond to what we can
measure and observe in the world of reality. Models that work really well, that
predict behavior in counterpart to the model which have not yet been observed,
these are taken as "law of nature." Occasionally the mathematics of law describing
phenomena not considered related reveal surprising unanticipated relationships.
Mathematics provides the framework within which our observation of the physical
world can be encoded. It goes beyond being merely descriptive when it exposes
relationships that integrate disparate subjects.
Mathematics can be used to explain how something recurs in nature.Mathematics
is used to explain why the sunset, where it went, and why it returned because it was
easier to count these events in numbers than to put them into words.Similarly
formulas became a way of using numbers to show how things in nature happen
together or oppose one another.
Mathematics is helpful especially when seeking to explain the limitless feeling one
gets when contemplating the natural world that exists outside ourselves. The logic
of any idea that can be explained in words can be reinforced mathematically to
reach and persuade a larger audience about its concurrency with natural
phenomena, its economic applicability and its business potential.
That’s why mathematics is ingrained in our daily lives because it is impossible to
ignore the fact that everything we see, touch, and feel has a mathematical
component. If humans did not compute or use mathematics to improve our world,it
would not look like it does today.Everything that sorrounds you may not exist
today if mathematicians do not have formulas for solving problem under the sun.
Predicting the behavior of nature was never easy task by just looking at our
sorroundings that’s why many questions arise as we think about how people can
forecast such a phenomenon today and in the past that’s because of mathematics
we can predict the behavior of our nature and phenomenon in our world.
