Strand 2 : Research-based knowledge and principles of teaching and learning
 Continuing Professional Development is one of the priorities of DepEd to ensure that
teachers are fully equipped with the skills necessary in the new normal set up.
Teaching strategies in the different modalities were presented in several trainings
online. In this process we are gaining not only skills but also confidence that we can
use the modality with ease and use the pedagogies associated with the modalities and
other platforms.
 The trimming down of the competencies (Most Essential Learning Competencies)
will aid teachers to focus on teaching what is relevant and useful to the learners.
