ENGINEERING DRAWING
__________________________________________________________________________________
1. Tw circles C, (R50) and C2 (R40) have their centres 120mm apart a horizontal line. Draw the
two circles and join them by means of an internal arc , R40. Show all construction lines
(10 marks)
2. Draw a development of a surface of a cone cut by a curved plane. Cone base diameter = 80mm ,
height of cone = 90mm. Cut by a horizontal plane 12mm from the apex and by a plane of radius
50mm centred at A. (10 marks)
4. Construct triangle ABC given perimeter = 120mm , base angle ABC = 30 degrees , base angle
ACB = 45 degrees (5 marks)
5. Construct triangle ABC given the perimeter = 120mm , and the ratio of the lengths of sides
2:3:4 (5 marks )
6. Inscribe a square inside a triangle. Let the triangle be an equilateral one side of 90mm (5 marks)
7. Inscribe a square in a semi-circle. Let the radius of the semi-circle be 50mm (5 marks)
10. The diagram below is to be translated to first angle orthographic projection using a full size
scale
