Cebu Bus Terminal

Cebu North Bus Terminal

History

The Cebu North Bus Terminal (CNBT)- is a bus station in Cebu City, Philippines

operated by the Cebu Provincial Government which serves as a hub for buses

servicing northern Cebu.

July 1993 - October 1994

1995-The terminal was completed and provides additional revenues for the city of

Cebu.

24 bus lanes and 27 jeepney lanes Bogo, Daanbantayan, Maya, Medellin, San

Remigio, and Hagnaya among others.

It was supposed to be a project for Mandaue but then Mayor Alfredo Ouano

wanted to have the facility converted into a school.

The CPBO-MPC has also laid down Rules for terminal Use and operation, which

came into effect on 27th December 1995 and is applied in the day to day running

of the facilities. Regarding the financial condition, while it seems to be difficult for

the bus terminal alone to be operated favorably as described before, in combination

with the jeepney terminal, the pair forms a viable business.

North Bus Terminal - reopens new location at Open parking lot, SM City Cebu in

Cebu City — beside the MyBus station, right across Bayfront Hotel.

 Tent - as what you see in the picture, and also there is a name of destination

in every tent, where you will seat when the bus/van is not ready

 Plastic chair - as what you see in the picture. (3rd slide) * Comfort Room -

as what I experienced last march 1, 2021, the comfort room looks like this

“as what you see in the picture” and it’s called portable toilet.

Actually I don’t have actual picture of the portable toilet in new north bus terminal,

but there is a picture which i can show you to prove that they actually use portable

toilet. See the picture there is a red circle and,

They don’t have canteen/store, but there are vendors outside the terminal. They

sell eggs, junk foods, water etc.....and there’s also 7eleven convenience store near

at the terminal.

Cebu South Bus Terminal

History

Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) consists of a terminal/parking area and a

building. The terminal/parking area, there are 40 loading bays (terminals) for

buses. In addition, the middle ground space, which can accommodate

approximately 50 vehicles, is being utilized as a waiting area. Construction on

CSBT was completed in August 1992 and the facility was turned over to the

Province of Cebu in February 1993.

For many decades, the area where the South Bus Terminal is located used to be

the main Railway Terminal of Cebu, until this was bombed by the Japanese.
So MCDP I as a project had three major components: The widening of arterial

roads, like V. Rama, B. Rodriguez and AS Fortuna , the operation of the Sydney

Coordinated Automatic Traffic System (SCATS) for Cebu City’s modern traffic

signal lighting system, and the South Bus Terminal, which under that agreement

was to be operated by the Province of Cebu.

Cebu South Bus Terminal is one of the most modern public facilities in the

many facilities that passenger can accommodate”
