COURSE DESCRIPTION
The aim of this course is to develop the students’ ability to solve complex engineering problems into more
simpler and logical forms using numerical methods. It is designed to narrow down the gap between the fields of
engineering and mathematics. There are six (6) topics covered in this course which include (1) Introduction to
Numerical Method, (2) Nonlinear Equations (Roots of Equations), (3) Linear Equations, (4) Numerical
Differentiation, (5) Numerical Integration, and (6) Curve Fitting. Mini project to be solved using numerical-
analysis software will also be given to the students.
