THE WORLD WITHOUT SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

- As a student living in this generation today, I couldn’t imagine my life living without science and
technology. The phone we have, the computer we’re reading on, or even the excellent vehicle
that we drive, all gone with a single blink of an eye. The world we would be living in would be
nothing but an empty, dark, and cold place. Science and technology are the essences of our
everyday life. They give a futuristic vision to our thoughts and actions. They contribute to
promoting various aspects of our lives. Without them, we would still be living in the Stone Age.
The existence of the modern era is the consequence of science and technology. For me, the
image showed above is an illustration of what the world looks like when there’s no science or
technology. The two people are talking, but with the use of cans and wires only, the information
we are getting is limited and somewhat vague to understand. Compared to what we have now,
the gadgets, it is much clear and accessible at all times. And in between the two people, a brain
and a bulb are trying to connect. For me, it is the symbolism of being disconnected from science
and technology with each other. The minds of the society and the ideas would be wasted if not
used in developing science and technology. The intention to lead a comfortable life is compelling
us to walk on the path of progress, which is not possible without the help of science and
technology. We have to give credit to science and technology to make our lives comfortable and
relaxed. Its penetration is so deep-rooted that it is difficult to imagine our day-to-day life
without them. Thus, we can conclude that science and technology are an inevitable part of our
lives.
