Abb Utilities GMBH: Remote Terminal Unit Connections and Settings Extension Subrack 23et23

This document provides instructions for connecting and configuring an extension subrack (23ET23) for an RTU560 remote terminal unit. Key details include: - The subrack has 19 slots for I/O boards and power is supplied via slots 1 and 5. - The subrack address is set using DIP switches to avoid duplicates across subracks connected to the same RTU560 unit. - Process I/O connections are made using crimp clips and DIN-F connectors. Voltage monitoring ensures proper power levels are maintained. - The subrack can be expanded by connecting additional units via a daisy chain using the serial peripheral bus, which must be properly terminated at each end
