2. Among the 25 properties of technical writing, choose two which you consider the most
important, and explain why. (5 points)

Brevity and Honest


Brevity allows you to write brief, straight to the point content so that readers can quickly
understand what you're trying to say about a particular topic, and Honesty allows you to write
whatever you want with a clean heart so that you don't feel or show prejudice for or against
someone, usually in an unfair way. Readers will always trust you if you publish information with
honesty.

3. What do you mean by ethical consideration in technical writing? Do you think access to
the Internet makes plagiarism easier and more common? Explain/defend your answer. (5
points)

4. If you were a technical writer, and in your own words, how would you write a step-by-step
instruction on “How to Withdraw from the ATM?” (5 points)

Step 1: Insert ATM Card


Kindly insert your ATM Card in the ATM Machine on the right side of the machine.
Step 2: Enter 4- Digit ATM Pin
Use the Keypad number to enter your 4 digit ATM Pin Number.

Do not ever share your ATM pin to anyone. Don't take down notes of your pin in a piece of
paper. Just keep it to your mind as always.

Be careful while entering the Pin, you have only 3 attempts to enter your pin. If you have more
than 3 fail it may lead to the blockage of the ATM Card.

Step 3: Select the type of transaction ( Withdrawal )


On the ATM screen, you will be able to see different types of transaction options such as
deposits, cash withdrawals, bill payment, and other transfers between accounts.

For cash withdrawal, you will have to select Withdrawal Option.

Step 4: Select the type of account


After selecting the cash withdrawal option, the screen will display different account types such
as an individual banker, you should be choosing a savings account, as current accounts
are a special type of accounts used by businesses.

Then select your account types.

Step 5: Enter the withdrawal amount


You may now enter your Withdrawal amount.

Make sure that you do not enter a withdrawal amount more than the balance in your account.

Now press enter.

Step 6: Collect the cash


Now collect the cash from the lower slots of the machine.

Step 7: Take a printed receipt, if needed


After you collect the cash, you will get an option if you want a printed receipt of the transaction,
click yes and close the transaction.

Step 8: Another Transaction


If you want to undertake another transaction then select that option.

If not you may get your receipt and your ATM card.

5. Can technical writing be creative? Explain your answer. (5 points)

Yes, since creative writing explores identity, experience, connections, approval, and interactions
with people, communities, and the broader world in imaginative ways.  Writing imaginatively
entails creating in a style that in everyday pictures, expressing your thoughts on events,
character actions, and dialogue.  For our last topics it's general and informal, you may write
whatever you want regarding entertaining, opinionated, metaphorical, and so on.
