REASON and DEFINITION of the MODIFICATION

DS200 series CPU4 software version has been updated to CFC

SOFTWARE THAT MUST BE USED WITH MASTER VERSION CFB:

IDEA : CAU (Build 671)
KNE : ACA

Important Notes:
 1/S2 PRI cards can now be used with CFB and CFC version master software. 1/S2
Card software should be updated to ADJ.

 With Master version CFC, PRI/R2 software version should be BEO or more recent
software.

 With Master version CFC, MGW3 software version AEA-02 should be used
 With Master version CFC, VRC200 version AEA-08 should be used.
 With Master version CFC, MGW3 should be used, MGW2 cannot be used.

With the CFC version:

 SIP_TRUNK version is updated to : AHF

 SIP_SPC version is updated to: AHA
 H323 version is updated to: ADA
 NKS version is updated to: ABA-02
 DS200L Environment is : ABG_04
 VRC200 version is updated to AEA-08
 MGW3 version is updated to AEC-02

For CPU4 CFB to CFC update; only master software should be updated.
If current master software version is older than CEB;* kernel, ramdisk, jffs2 and
environment files must be updated: (See the file TFTPCFC.zip for CFC software)

For DS200 CPU4:

Ramdisk : AAL
Environment : ABE
image.jffs2 : AAH
Kernel : AAD

For DS200S/M CPU4:

Ramdisk : AAI
Environment : ABE
image.jffs2 : AAH
Kernel : AAD

CPU4 System Update

a) Download the system backup file to a pc with the latest idea. (CAU)

b) Before updating the software, the following steps should be carried out in
order

TFTP server, ramdisk, kernel, environment and repo.conf files are copied to the pc
that will be used for updating the software.

In Winspc/karel/home/conf/dsupdate.conf
The IP address which is in dsu_server must set the same as IP address which TFTP
server runs in.

Update procedure for CPU4

 Install the latest Idea program (CAU) and save system backup to PC.
 Connect the system with winscp, Erase the bicom.conf, firewall.conf,
snmp.conf files. (File location: “karel/home/conf/”)
 Open dsupdate.conf file under “karel/home/conf” folder.
 Set DSU_SERVER address as your PC’s IP.
 Copy the p_cfc_ugb.rpm file to “karel/bin” folder (Transfer files by Winscp)
 Copy TFTP folder structure to your PC desktop.
 Run TFTP.exe file. ( Depending on your CPU4 configuration select the folder :
ds200 or ds200s/m )
 Click windows start menu, select run and type CMD , Enter the following

command on command window
 telnet -t vt100 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

where x part notates the ip address of CPU4

 Login : root
Password : ds200 or ds200s
 Enter the following commands

# telinit 4

# dsupdate rd

# dsupdate kernel

# dsupdate jffs2 (after updated this file, you need to change IP address of system
in "/flash/etc/sysconfig.conf". Because after updating this file, IP address will be
set as default IP: 192.168.2.100)

# dsupdate cf

# cd karel\bin

# dsinstall p_cfc_ugb.rpm

 Reboot the system.

 Delete the non-volatile memory
 Switch the system OFF/ON.
 Load the system backup file from the PC.

17. Write into the non-volatile memory.

IMPORTANT:

System Shut Down Procedure

 This procedure is required in order to minimize the risks of damaging the

Compact Flash Cards on CPU. Latest Kernel update is now suggested for all
Compact Flash cards. (This kernel software was released with previous CEB
software)

1) Push the button on CPU card with sharp object (like a pen-point) for 20
seconds.

2) Then release the button and wait 45-60 seconds.(D1 green led near Altera chip
on CPU motherboard will be off)

3) Power off from SPS.

 Important Points: System should not be powered off manually during boot
process of CPU!!!

Sometimes the system startup is delayed due to the check disk procedure for
fixing file structure errors during boot. However customer may try to restart or
power off the system from SPS at this point. This is the most common fault for CF
related problems.

At this point CPU led indication Red Continious ON

Green ON.

 This procedure must be followed by next reboot (even if the system is restarted
by a power failure.)

To check the version of Kernel software; Below procedure should be followed.

During Winscp connection enter the below command.

getconf

Above versions should be checked after entering the command. System

restart is required after the kernel update.

Improvements

This release is mainly focused on problems regarding one way speech or speech
channel blocking problems which are diagnosed during conference/transfer
scenarios for Two DS200 systems which are connected with IP TRUNK, PRI and
analogue trunks when the Voice recording is active.

 Two DS200 systems are connected with IP TRUNK and Voice recording is active
Call lands analogue trunk on system A and ACD answers, Caller dials the IP
extension of B system. IP extension answers the call and immediately holds &
retrieves the call.
At this point if the SIP extension of B system terminates the call, Analogue trunk
hangs at system A. This problem is now fixed.

 If Voice logging active IP extension starts and terminates the call immediately,
The system reset problem has occurred with previous software this problem is
now fixed.

 If Voice logging is active; Line blocking problem is observed for Line – Line
connections. This problem is now fixed.

 PBX password cannot be changed on idea with p_ceb_ugb software. This

problem is now fixed.

 A common pool call cannot be made if there is a parked line on extension. This
problem is now fixed.

 Smart callback feature was not working with p_ceb_ugb software. This problem
is now fixed.
GT40M software should be ACA or later.

 Regarding SIP Provider calls; multiple user account can be defined for the same
provider.

 SIP Trunk Address table’s “Numbers” column is now divided into two parts. “
Calling Numbers & Called Numbers.

By this way; according to the dial plan extensions can now use multiple SIP
accounts from the same SIP provider.

Calling Numbers => Calling Numbers can call External numbers defined at same
row.

Called Numbers.=> Prefix number for SIP TRUNK call is defined here

By above programming
Extension access codes starting with “1xx” can call “2xx “ external numbers
through SIP Trunk
Extension access codes starting with “2xx”can call “4xx” external numbers
through SIP Trunk.

If calling number is defined “x” all extensions can call the external number
which is defined in the same row.

 PRI Line Fair (Equal) Load / Parallel Call parameter is added to the system
parameters.

By this parameter equal load and parallel call facilities will be supported for the
incoming calls from the PRI lines. (Supported for Direct call and UAC table)

 Extension line access group number is increased from 128 to 512.
