Reflection Paper of University Introductory

Academic Program

MSU's facilities, in my opinion, are too far away (obsolete) from those of other colleges, yet the
graduates still do well in the real world. Professors were really competitive, supportive, and educated.
The policies are rigid and implemented. I chose MSU, namely the main campus since it was the only
university that my parents could afford based on tuition and other expenses. In addition, I chose MSU
since virtually everyone in my family went there to school. Food and cottage rent were both reasonably
priced. The cold weather, golf course, and view of the lake were also a plus factor.

As the Mindanao State University celebrates their 60th founding anniversary, the msu-system
president Dr. Macaayong gave us a warm welcome and an encouraging speech. They discussed the msu
main campus's high-quality services, organizations and activities, two vigorous students from the college
of business administration and accountancy gave us a virtual tour of the campus, and my favorite part of
the campus is the golf course. As I can see from the brief tour, the campus is rather vast. They even have
a little city within a campus to ensure that we have access to necessities such as cash remittance, printing
shops, school supplies, groceries, and a variety of eateries.

In terms of education, my expectations of MSU as a state university are high, yet the campus was
not up to current standards. Unfortunately, when it came to teaching, the instructors were probably the
best in the province. Some would make your life a misery, but it made me understand that everything
they've done has built you into the independent and risk-taking person you are now. Some experts who
graduated from MSU believe that if you can survive at MSU, you can survive elsewhere.

The lecture that I benefited the most is the first lecture from the 3rd day of IAP which is Netiquette:
Rules and Norms for Interacting with Others on the Internet. It's especially crucial for me to obey the
university's rules because this is my first time taking an online class. Healthy cooperation is an important
task that should be done in order to improve the experience of online learning and socializing for everyone
engaged. Miscommunication and bullying may be avoided with proper netiquette. We must adhere to
these netiquette rules, which are based on the university's fundamental principles. We must be
considerate of other people's time and ensure that our written communication is relevant and to the
point. We should be of service to others and reply quickly and efficiently. It is required that we participate
actively in class discussions and contribute suggestions. We should always keep our remarks organized in
a discussion forum and avoid getting into fights with our classmates. We are all aware that we are living
in a community with a wide set of cultural-religious beliefs, ethnicity, and race, so we must learn to
communicate and co-exist with people of different cultures, customs, and values. Always demonstrate
competence by acknowledging and citing the owners or authors of the materials we used or cited in our
work. We must constantly keep in mind that communicating online is the same as communicating with
real people, therefore we must present ourselves well in the virtual world.
