address the needs of basic education related to the following areas:
a. Curriculum, Teaching & Learning, and Learning Resources;
b. Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation systems, Research, Technical
Assistance;
c. Partnership & Linkages, Support to Health, and Disaster Risk
Reduction Management; and
d. Governance and Leadership (Human Resource Development,
Income Generation, and Administration).

I. Project Contacts
List the persons who are involved with the project and can be contacted. Be sure to include
their names, titles, roles in the project, as well as phone numbers and email addresses.

II. Project Summary


The goal of this section is to present the reasons for doing this project as well as stating the
project’s objectives. In this section, in particular, it is essential to write concisely and clearly. Be
able to answer the following questions:

 Why are you doing this project?


 What will you be doing?
 How will you be doing it?
 Who will be doing it?
 Where will it be done?
 How long will it take?
 How much will it cost?
III. Project Background
Explain what needs/problems you are trying to solve, and why these needs/problems are
worth solving. You should also provide a brief setting and history behind the project. This
section should be no more than a page. Include references to supporting documentation, such
as project design or lay-out. This information can be placed in the Index.

IV. Project Objectives


State explicitly what goals the project is aiming to achieve.

V. Project Methodology
This section details the plan for how the project objectives will be achieved. It usually starts
with a description of the overall approach.

A. Work Breakdown and Task Time Estimates

In this section, you should create a detailed project schedule. Make a list of tasks that will be
performed for this project, make sure the list is complete enough and the tasks broken down.

B. Project Deliverables

Make a list of the project “deliverables.” (These are the products that will be delivered to the
client at the end and throughout the project). Make sure to include a description of the
deliverable.

C. Project Risk Management

This section details the significant project risks and delineates the plans to alleviate or control
them. Make sure to address each risk’s likelihood of occurring as well as its impact on the
project and the school.

VI. Project Costs


In this section you will need to estimate the overall cost of the project.

A. Project Budget – must be detailed


B. Sources – (source of fund) Should not come from the MOOE fund.

Short Description This is an exhibition in the production of instructional video lessons
prepared by the teacher in facilitating teaching and learning. There shall
be a presenter or host in the video who discusses, presents,
demonstrates or illustrates a lesson, topic or an activity with mixture of
photographs, videos, text, sound effects or animation.

Event   Poster Making Contest
Short Description The Poster Making Contest will serve as a venue for our learners to
show their talents and creativity with innovation and research in mind.
The contest aims to contribute to a greater public interest and
appreciation of innovation and research among the youth and to
recognize learner’s inherent artistic talents.
Theme Strengthening Innovations and Culture of Research in the New Normal
Participants This contest is open to all interested learners from both public and
private schools of Ormoc City Division
Format A4 size (21cm x 29.7 cm) illustration board or bond paper
Materials Acceptable tools of drawing / painting include pencil, crayon,
watercolor, oil paint, cray-pas etc. Computer drawing/Digital art is not
acceptable.
Criteria for Judging

GUIDELINES FOR RESEARCH CAUCUS


The research caucus has been opened to all research practitioners and enthusiasts in the education
sector and academe, which included but not limited to Division and District Supervisors, School Heads and
Teachers of both public and private schools. Completed Action Researches and Basic Researches under the
Basic Education Research Fund (BERF) FY 2019 shall be regarded as entries.

The Caucus shall focus on showcasing best practices in research management and the research
studies conducted in the school, district, division, and regional level to identify and address problems
related to teaching and learning, child protection, human resource, and governance of basic education.

Authors shall prepare a research summary in a Word file which shall not exceed 25 pages; 1.5
spacing; in an A4-sized paper; using Times New Roman; and font size of 11, observing the attached
template.

Authors shall also prepare a video presentation which shall include their study's Background and
Rationale; Research Questions; Methodology & Research Design; Summary of Results; Reflections,
Conclusion, & Recommendations; and the Works Cited. The video presentation shall not exceed 10
minutes having the presenter in front of the camera and voice over the PowerPoint or a combination of
any other creative methods of presentation. The use of multiple screens is also allowed. The video must be
in mp4 format and at least with a 720p resolution. Another 10 minutes shall be allotted for the question-
and-answer portion by the panel of judges for each presenter.

Authors shall submit the soft copy of the research summary and the 10-minute video presentation
strictly observing the prescribed format by sending them to [email protected]. Submit not
later than June 15, 2020, for the research summary and for the 10-minute video presentation. The rubrics
to be used in rating the research paper are presented as follows:

Clear Focus  The research topic is clear.
(20%)  It is relevant to the theme.
 The body of the paper and its conclusion are clearly related to the
topic.
 The procedures are clear.
Research  The research design used is appropriate based on the research
(25%) problem.
 The research question is addressed.
 Extensive data analysis is evident.
 The sources are reliable.
 When appropriate, the paper uses different types of resources
such as books, journals, newspapers, interviews, or the internet.
CRITERIA INDICATORS
Reasoning  The key concepts are defined and presented clearly.
and  The paper contains enough information to back up its ideas.
Organization  The parts of the paper are coherent.
(25%)  When appropriate, the paper uses related statistics, tables,
and/or graphs that are properly labeled.
 The author introduces every quotation and cites its source
properly.
Documentatio  The sources are cited using the APA Style.
n  Complete and proper referencing is evident.
 The literature review identifies the gap that will be addressed by
the research.
Writing  The paper is free of grammatical errors.
Mechanics  It is also free from spelling and typographical errors.
 The sentences are brief but precise and free of unnecessary
jargon.

The rubrics that shall be used in selecting the best presentation is as follows:

(50%)  The materials used are appropriate.
 The audio and video quality are sufficient.
 The layout, design, aesthetics, and editing used are appropriate.
Question and  The voice quality of the presenter is sufficient.
Answer (50%)  The presenter maintains eye contact, good poise, and pleasing
virtual delivery.
 The language used is precise.
 The presenter gives a brief, clear, and concise discussion.
 Knowledge and mastery of the subject is evident when
answering the questions.

The decision of the judges shall be final and irrevocable. Plaques of Award shaft be
conferred to the three Best Papers and three Best Presenters. Certificates of Recognition shall be
awarded to all presenting authors.
