Dream House Reflection

Dalisay Shyface created a floor plan for their dream home using drawing tools, which they found to be tedious due to the many doors and precise positioning required. Due to time constraints, the floor plan was not very detailed and did not fully capture their dream home. In the future, Dalisay would pay someone to design a floor plan or use professional software, which would make the process much easier. They enjoyed the project but would need more time to design their dream home properly.

Artifact Name: Dream House-using drawing tools to make a floor plan of your dream
home.

What you learned:


I learned that making floor plans is very tedious. There were so many doors and even
with the duplicate tool they still had to be positioned just right. I also learned that due to
time constraints and needing to scale down the plans, my dream home wasn’t very
dreamy. If I have the opportunity in the future to plan a dream home, I will definitely be
paying someone to do it. I believe if I had professional software, this would be much
easier. I did enjoy doing this project, but I would need more time to do this properly in
the future if I wanted to do something like this for fun.

Application of Skills Learned for the Future:


I think this would be a fun project at the middle and high school level, especially for
students who have an interest in a future career of design, architecture, or engineering
where they will be using CAD programs.
