Media and information literacy are very essential for lifelong learning, especially in socializing and
becoming more active citizen but, as a user, we must responsible for it, so that we will enjoy Media and
Information benefits. Although Media and Information provides us advantages, we cannot assure that it has
no disadvantage therefore, we must be preparing for it and it is becoming responsible user of Media and
Information.

Do not nag or annoy people in web forums or website comment.
If you are commenting on post online such as YouTube and Facebook comments stick to the
topic.
Never use an offensive language
Avoid replying to negative comments, instead break the cycle with a positive post.
If someone ask a question, answer it. Offer a help if there is someone needs it.
Be thankful to someone who helped you online.
2. Remember that we are human and we should handle media information rationally and good purpose.

4. We should share expert knowledge, not just sharing nonsense media information.
5. Do not abuse our power in handling media information. Make sure its beneficial to others and

Fake news is not new, what is new is how easy to share information – both true and false – on a
massive scale. Social media platforms allow almost anyone to publish their thoughts or share stories to the
world. The problem is, most people don't check the source of the material that they view online before they
share it, which can lead to fake news spreading quickly. But, not all fake news stories are found online.
Gossip in a workplace or in the community, also guilty of spreading misinformation even if inadvertently
are example of fake news.
Fake news can affect behavior. It encourages people to invent excuses, to dismiss others' ideas, to
exaggerate the truth, and to spread rumors. Misinformation and fake news can also harm your business.
Invented reviews of your products or inaccurate financial updates, for example, can do serious reputational
damage.
