THE SETTER SCRIPT 

Hello ______. This is ______ calling from Russell Brunson’s office.  


(Pause  after  you  tell  them  where  you  are  calling  from  to  gauge  their 
response.) 
 
How are you doing?  
 
I  understand  you  went  through  the  One  Funnel  Away  Challenge  and  filled 
out an application to work with a coach one on one. Is that right?  
 
Great!  What  I  do  here  is  call  back  a  few  people  that  went  through  the 
challenge  to  find  out  what  is  motivating  them.  Why  did  you  go  through  the 
challenge with ClickFunnels? 
(Spend  time  here  pulling  out  hot  buttons  or  gathering  information 
about  their  current  online  business.  The  best  thing  that  you  can  do  is 
be  quiet  and  listen.  If  you’re  having  a  tough  time  getting  information 
out of them, here are some sample questions below you could ask.) 
 
● Were you looking for lump sums of cash or long-term residual income? 
● How long have you been thinking about making money online?  
● Are you looking to replace or supplement an income? 
 
What  has  held you back from actually getting started with an online business 
in the past? 
(Don’t move forward until they say they lack knowledge.) 
   
BLAST: 
Well,  I  don’t  know,  but  maybe  I  can  help.  Let  me tell you what I do for Russell 
Brunson.  First  of  all, we’re looking for a few individuals who are ready to make 
some  changes  that  will  improve  their  financial  situations  by  coming  aboard 
our  success  team.  We  call  this  our  success  team  because  we  need  success 
stories  and  testimonials  to  promote  this  opportunity  in  future  infomercials 
and other marketing arenas. Are you familiar with our Two Comma Club?  
 
We’re  looking  to  get  more  people  into  the seven-figure funnels. What we will 
do  is  train you on how to build a successful online business, working at it 10-15 
hours  per  week.  Our  goal  is  to  help  you  build  and  grow  this  business  and 
create  a  positive  cash  flow,  in  as  little  time  as  possible.  When  we  create  a 
success  story  with  you,  would  you  be  alright  with  us  using  it  to  promote  our 
business in the future?  
 
In  that  case,  let  me  stop  right  here  and  explain  what  my  job  is.  I’m  here  to 
basically  weed  people  out.  Obviously,  we  can’t  work  with  everyone  that  has 
ordered  Russell’s  information.  The  reason  being  that  we’re  going  to  set  you 
up  with  our  coaching  team.  This  team  is  full  of  experts  in  helping  people  to 
build  successful  funnels  and  businesses.  Our  team  will  train  you  step  by  step 
on  how  to  build  your  business,  build  your  funnels,  and  generate  income 
online.  Our  team  works  with  each  student  one  on  one  for  the  next  three 
months.  Now,  let  me  ask  you  this:  If  you  could  work  with  Russell  Brunson,  or 
someone  like  him,  for  the  next  three  months  building  and  growing  your 
funnels,  how  do  you  feel  that  would  make  a  difference  for  you  compared  to 
doing this on your own?

program/expert would be the next best thing to sliced bread.)

Well,  ______,  I  do  want  you  to  understand  that  I  am not the expert in building 
online  businesses.  My  job  is  simply  to  find  people  that  I  feel  are  qualified  for 
Russell’s  one-on-one  coaching  program.  If  I  feel  good  about  you,  I  will  turn 
you  over  to  the  director  of  Russell’s  coaching  program.  He  is  the  expert.  He 
has  two  responsibilities.  Obviously,  he  will  explain  the  details  of  the  program 
to  you,  but most importantly, his job is to make sure we are bringing the right 
types  of  people  aboard  this  team.  Russell  found  out  a  long  time  ago  that  he 
only  wants  his  team  to  be  working  with  the  right  types  of  people. The wrong 
people  are  a  drain  on  our  time  and  resources.  It  is  imperative  to  Russell  that 
we  have  the  right  people  on  this  team.  In  order  to  do  this, I need to build out

where  you  are  now  to  where  you  want  to  be  in  the  future.  This  will  help  me 
determine if you are a good candidate for our success team.

4.  When  you  are  working  with  our  coaching  team,  there  will  obviously  be  an 
investment  involved.  With  this  investment,  we  want  you  to  use  a  concept 
that  many  business  owners  use  by  leveraging  their  credit  to  build  and  grow 
their business. Have you ever used your credit to actually make you money?  
 
Most  people  don’t use their credit to make them money; they use it for things 
like clothes, food, or trips… things that never make them any money. We don’t 
want  you  to  use  your  credit  in  this  way.  We  want  you  to  use  your  credit  as  a 
short-term  leveraging  tool.  What this does is buys us time. With that time, we 
want  to  teach  you  and  train  you  how  to  build  your  online  business  and  get 
you  to  the  point  that  you  can  start  to  initially  pay  the  minimum  payment  on 
that  card  and  then  obviously pay it off as soon as possible. Is using your credit 
cards  to  build  your  business  a  strategy  you  are  willing  to  use  as  long  as  you 
can  see  that  the  business  will  pay  for  itself  in  a  reasonable  amount  of  time?

Great!  I  do  want  to  get  an  idea  of  what  you  would  feel  comfortable  investing 
into  your  business  to  get  it  started.  Some  of  our  students  invest  10-15 
thousand  dollars;  some  even  more.  But,  most  of our students invest between 
5  and  10  thousand  dollars  to  get  their  business  started. Where would you see 
yourself investing to get started today? The top, middle, or bottom? 
 
TRANSITION: 
Okay,  I’m  going  to  put  you  on  hold  for  a  minute  to  see  if  I  can  get  the 
program  director  to  speak  with  you.  While  I  do  that,  will  you  grab  a  piece  of 
paper and a pen?  
(Put them on hold and go get director.) 
 
First,  let  me  have  you  write  down  the  director’s  name;  it’s  Mr.  ______.  You  are 
lucky  to  speak  with  Mr.  ______.  He  is  an  expert  in  building  funnels  and  online 
businesses.  But  most  importantly, his job is to build the success team that we 
have  been  talking  about.  They  want  to  have  the  best  people  in  the  program. 
Obviously,  this has got to be a win for you, right? But it also has to be a win for 
ClickFunnels  as  well.  Now,  maybe  this  sounds  a  little  harsh,  but  don’t  be 
offended  if  they  don’t  invite  you  aboard  the  team.  Mr.  ________  said  he  would 
be  happy to call you back in 5-10 minutes. He is just finishing up a meeting, so 
he would like you to do a few things before you talk with him. 
 
1. Write down one 6-month financial goal and one 12-month financial goal. 
2.  Write  down  2  things  that  you  like  about  ClickFunnels  and  2  questions that 
you have about ClickFunnels right now. 
3. Write down 2 things that you want more of besides money. 
 
I  am  going  to  let  you  in  on  a  secret.  My  director  is  looking  for  the  individuals 
that  are  the  most  serious  and  motivated.  So,  I  have  a  couple  of  favors  to  ask 
you. 
 
First, will you let my boss know up front how serious and motivated you are to 
build your online business with ClickFunnels?  
 
Second,  I don’t hear a whole lot about what happens with the individuals who 
are  brought  aboard  the  team.  If  my  director  extends  an  invitation  to  you, will 
you  give  me  a  quick  call  back  and  let  me  know  if  you  are  invited  aboard  the 
team?
