Subject: Math

Grade/Age Level: 3rd-4th grade

Lesson Topic: Fractions

Learning Goal(s): Define what a fraction is and how to compare fractions in different formats (number fractions, visual fractions, etc.)

How will technology play a role in meeting the learning goals? The technology tool will be used to help students gain understanding of how
fractions can have different representations and how to compare said representations.

Materials Needed for Lesson (tech and non-tech):

• A phone, laptop, iPad, something in which to access the activity.
• Writing utensils and paper if they need it.
• Visuals/ manipulatives.
What do you need to do to get the technology ready? (setting up accounts, differentiating, etc.)
I will have to go onto the website Lumio and open the class activity so everyone can go to the class and participate, or alternatively I can
provide a link to everyone in which they can go to the activity independently.
