Operational Range - Moderately Severe Level
Overview

CODE REASON EFFECT


Fault Code: 143 Engine Oil Rifle Pressure - Data Valid but Below Automotive:
PID: P100 Normal Operational Range - Moderately Severe None on
SPN: 100 Level. Engine oil pressure signal indicates engine performance.
FMI: 1/18 oil pressure is below the engine protection warning
LAMP: Amber limit. Marine:
SRT: calibration
dependent.

Engine Oil Pressure

Circuit Description

The engine oil pressure sensor is used by the electronic control module (ECM) to monitor
the lubricating oil pressure. The ECM monitors the voltage on the signal pin and converts
this to a pressure value.

Component Location

The engine oil pressure sensor is located on the left side of the engine block. Refer to
Procedure 100-002 for a detailed component location view.
