    CONFI-SEAL Product Data Sheet

    Product CONFI-SEAL is temperature-stable amine treated organophilic lignite


    Description used to control filtration in oil and synthetic mud systems. It is
    compatible to all invert oil / synthetic base systems and can be used in
    initial formulation or added as required.

    CONFI-SEAL provides non-asphaltic filtration control in OBM and SBM


    Applications/ systems, is effective over a wide range of temperatures. CONFI-SEAL
    Functions enhances emulsion stability.

    ¾ CONFI-SEAL is effective over a wide range of temperatures.


    Advantages ¾ CONFI-SEAL is effective to > 400 0F (204 0C).
    ¾ CONFI-SEAL enhances emulsion stability.
    ¾ CONFI-SEAL performs synergistically with emulsifiers.
    ¾ CONFI-SEAL imparts minimum viscosity increase.

    Recommended Treatment levels of CONFI-SEAL will vary depending on the type of


    Treatment oil and synthetic-based fluids used, the bottom hole temperatures
    encountered, and the filtration control desired. Concentrations of 1.0
    - 10.0 lb/bbl (2.85 - 28.5 kg/m3) should be adequate for most
    applications.

    ¾ Requires emulsifiers in order to be effective.


    Limitations ¾ Pilot testing may not demonstrate the effectiveness of this product.
