1. Write play in a circle on the board .
2. Elicit free time activities which use the verb play . e.g. play the piano.
Pre Lesson 3. Create a word map around play with these activities .
4. Pupils copy the word map into their exercise book .

2. Elicit what activities they can see .
3. Pupils read the poem silently to find out what days the boy does the activities .
4. Read the poem aloud and pupils listen.
5. Read the poem in sections and pupils repeat.
