PERSONAL STATEMENT
This personal statement should be a narrative statement describing how you have achieved your
current professional development goals. It should not be a mere listing of facts. It should include
information about your education, practical experience, special interests, and career plans. Describe
any significant factors that have influenced your educational or professional development.
Comment on the number of years of practical experience already completed in the field in which
academic work will be done in the U.S.

I am the kind of person who is resolute and love to live a life according to his/her interests. I ask, explore, think, and learn.
Encapsulating these traits, I developed a great interest in the field of physics. In particular, the vastness of the solid-state
world and the uncertain nature of the quantum world have always astonished me. During my undergraduate studies, I felt an
immense pleasure in translating these phenomena using mathematical models and physical reasoning. I always had a
special aptitude for physics and especially for theoretical physics. That was the reason almost all my elective courses,
projects are in theoretical physics. Working on this subjects and projects, I developed a great interest in the field of
condense matter and quantum mechanics and wanted to explore more. These projects helped me to develop a profound
interconnection among different courses in physics. I taught myself relevant parts of statistical thermodynamics,
semiconductor physics, quantum mechanics, solar cells, classical mechanics and computational physics by perusing
through research literature and graduate-level books. I like being challenged, that is why I decided to work on something
original in my projects and extend the work of my supervisor. I want to take this challenge to the next level which is why I am
applying for the direct-Ph.D. program. I always challenged myself and transcend the inhibitions to learn something incipient
in physics that’s why during the Covid-19 pandemic I decided to edify students and I teach a master level student
semiconductor physics and devices from Karlstad University, Sweden. Now I am teaching him on Mathematical methods for
physics in MATLAB which is again a master-level course.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

In this section you may want to attach a professional resume (usually required for professional degrees
such as law and MBA’s) or complete curriculum vitae (sometimes required for students pursuing
theoretical academic fields).
